    A Jewel in Soho
We had a two night stay this weekend at the hotel for my birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived until our final goodbye, the hotel delivered a faultless service. All of the staff are clearly happy to be of service, friendly, knowledgable and have greater personalities. The hotel is immaculate throughout, not even a scuff mark from a suitcase could be seen on any paintwork. Our room was large, beautifully appointed and housekeeping were always available to ensure we had everything we needed. An evening turn down service too, very rare these days even in upmarket hotels! The bar and restaurant have a lovely vibe and the lounge and library are an oasis of calm. We enjoyed a film in the hotel cinema on Sunday which was really pleasant. The Soho hotel delivers hospitality at the highest level where nothing is missed. It’s a credit to all who work there.
Thank you for choosing the Soho Hotel for your Birthday weekend. Thank you too for your wonderful comments in relation to the team who will be delighted. I'm glad you were able to experience our Sunday Film Club whilst you were with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes, Jason Phillips General Manager

    The Best of London
We stayed at the Soho Hotel for a week over Christmas and it was fabulous. The hotel itself is so comfortable and luxurious with large rooms, great bathrooms with tubs and showers and double sinks, and perfect location in the middle of theater, restaurants, shopping, and some of the best museums in the city. The service is excellent from the moment you check in to the restaurant, the housekeeping and the porter. It's also a great hotel for kids. We were traveling with two teenagers and they loved the location and the vibe of the Soho Hotel, as well as the wonderful English breakfasts every morning. We will definitely be back!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm delighted to read you enjoyed your stay wiht us over Christmas and also your teenagers loved the vibe. We look forward to welcoming you back to us again soon. Best wishes, Jason Phillips General Manager

Top choice for the West End
Having stayed at Ham Yard previously, we were keen to try some of the other Firmdale venues in London, and booked into the Soho for one night - we were glad we did. the hotel is as stylish as you might expect - the vibrant colour scheme may not be to everyone's taste, but we thought it was great. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and with a really comfortable bed and great bathroom. It was also incredibly quiet for such a central location, being on a lane set back from the main thoroughfare. We'll certainly stay again if needing somewhere in the West End (being a fair bit cheaper than Ham Yard). Only minor gripe - cooked breakfast wasn't great, although the cold buffet was.
Dear Michael, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Soho recently. I'm delighted to read you enjoyed your time with us. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Best wishes, Jason Phillips General Manager

We were very impressed with this hotel. This is was our second time staying at a Firmdale property in London and had exceptional experience again. Many hotels these days seem to be struggling for an identity but this hotel sold (and to be fair priced itself) as a 5 star experience and it delivered. As you would expect from the name, the hotel is right in the heart of Soho and we were a little concerned about noise but the building is nicely set back from the main road and so our room was exceptionally quite but you walk out 15 metres and you are in the heart of everything. We enjoyed breakfast which was very high quality with outstanding service. We also had after- theatre drinks and again great service and varied cocktail menu. It did close a little early (midnight) but I think that is too keep the hotel quiet. Obviously if you want late night drinks, lots of choice near by. Our room was very high quality and spacious and wonderful turn-down service made a nice touch after a night out. Definitely will be back.

Outstanding / everything I thought it would be and more! I have been a fan of Kit Kemp / Firmdale hotels for a long time. We run a collection of 3 boutique guest houses in Northern Ireland - Lisnacurran collection. Firmdale sets the bar for me! From the moment you enter door porters, front desk, restaurant servers, everyone is so welcoming. Little surprises in the room were the icing on the cake. I’m already planning my next stay in Crosby st New York. I will never stay anywhere else in London!

Soho Hotel completely nails it for me. Kit Kemp has created a colourful fearlessly bold home. It just doesn’t feel like a hotel. Bedrooms and all the facilities are great. Service wonderful is by far one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Beautiful bed linens, and a lemon tart in the room service menu that was probably the best I’ve ever tasted

I really wanted to like this hotel and give it a higher rating. Among the good things about it: - Very nice room design. - Huge, comfortable and modern bathroom with a dedicated shower. - Nice restaurant. - Great staff (no complaints about anyone whatsoever). - Great location: it is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see, is close to no less than four subway stations and the British Museum. The last point is also a huge drawback. While its location is convenient in terms of distance, the entire block around it consists of dirty, garbage-strewn and graffiti-laden narrow streets that house almost exclusively bars and restaurants. In the evening, on all four nights we were there, this area turns into a wild zoo, with packed, overflowing crowds next to many bars shouting into each other's ears in a futile attempt to have a conversation, while drinking alcohol outside. Don't get me wrong, we never felt unsafe - but it is such an unpleasant area to come to, that we dreaded going back to the hotel every evening after exploring the city. The second big problem is water-related. We were there on relatively hot days (~29C), and the only water provided were two tiny 330mL bottles with turn down service. When I asked the concierge whether tap water is drinkable because we don't have enough, the answer I got was basically this: "We provide two bottles with the turn down service, and if you need more, you can purchase two more from the mini bar in the suite". Now, I don't know about you, but after paying 800 euros a night in a 5-star hotel, I expect something as basic and vital as water to be free in any reasonable amount that I need. The answer I got about purchasing more (overpriced) water is simply insulting. The correct answer should have been: "How many bottles do you need? We'll get them to you shortly." Because of these two issues, we likely won't be coming back.

The soho hotel is my favourite place on earth. I have celebrated many special family occasions here and so it was a delight for my husband and I to stay here on our wedding night. We stayed ina Junior Deluxe suit, which was perfect for our two night stay. We merrily stumbled in at 2.30am and the staff showed us to our room and brought us a couple of burgers. We ordered a fest for breakfast and spent the day recovering in the effortlessly stylish and comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble, anything we wanted the hotel provided. And is was a sad crash back down to earth when we had to leave. Tahnk you to everyone there and I can't wait to come back again.

Coziness, comfort, casual elegance, class and flawless service: this Hotel delivers big-time! The rooms are striking, thoughtfully, decorated and designed with warmth and a sophisticated aesthetic that combines boldness and originality. Characteristic of the unique Firmdale Hotel decor…. splashes of rich color everywhere, in daring combinations, with a hint of humor in the eclectic choice of wall hangings and accessories. Walls are covered in fabrics coordinated with beautifully upholstered, headboards, bed benches, sofas and occasional chairs. The beds are incredibly comfortable, dressed with luxurious linens that are deliciously silky. Window treatments, are equally stunning and decadent. All, simply ‘smashing’ is the word ! Innovative design in the rooms and bathrooms provides ample space for guests’ belongings.. The toiletries are intoxicatingly fragrant, with subtle citrus scents that soothe. Decor in the restaurant /bar, reception area, and the two large main floor sitting rooms available for reading, lounging, dining or business meetings is lush and inviting. The physical elements all speak to the comfort and pampering of guests. But the hard working staff, all so attentive, cheerful and efficient really make the guests feel welcome and important. They look you in the eye, address you by name and generally make you feel personally welcome, like you matter! Everywhere! In the dining room, staff is conversational and friendly and so quick to bring the food. Housekeeping, managing to clean your room as soon as you’ve gone quick as elves ! Everything glistens and shines! Wonderful concierges, like AC, always cheerful and innovative, tirelessly deliver the impossible. And Julian, Alef, Justin, Greg, Michael, all so friendly and endlessly helpful. And Ali, who when I left a personal belonging in a restaurant my second day here, kindly rushed off to retrieve it and bring it to me before I had even thought about how to get it back! And this seamless engine of perfection operates under the direction of SoHo’s general manager, the guy at the top, Jason Phillips who knows a thing or two about running it all at the highest of standards, where every need is not just met, but exceeded and delivered on a silver platter with good humor and style. With constant consistent attention to the tiniest detail! !!! A heavenly haven on earth!

Returning to the Soho for the Kings Coronation, it was so easy to see why we consider the Soho Hotel to be our all time favourite. We arrived early one morning and dropped off our bags before heading out to enjoy London, we were offered opportunity to shower and freshen up while our room was being. prepared but were happy to get a text when our room was ready which we duly did a few hours later. It is this level of service which keeps us returning time and time again. Our room was a spacious room on the fourth floor and was immaculate, plenty of space to relax and a luxury bath to soak in after a day spent on your feet. Having been visiting the Soho for more than a decade or two it was great to just settle in to what we truly consider a 'home from home' this is due in no small part to the fantastic staff, professional without being stuffy, enthusiastic without being overwhelming. We enjoyed our breakfast in Refuel restaurant with a great choice of buffet and cooked to order options. Never rushed and a great way to start a day exploring in London before returning back to a freshened room courtesy of the excellent housekeeping staff. On our last day we enjoyed a leisurely lunch with cocktails, a bottle of Rathfinny Sparkling wine and more cocktails, particularly recommend the Old Fashioned, one of the best I have tasted. Particular mention to Georgianna, hope I have spelt that correct who looked after us and to General Manager Mr J. Phillips who spent a few minutes with us. Impossible to name everybody we met but we spent 4 nights and cannot think of anything that disappointed us, even the weather managed to shine occasionally. So a huge thank you to the concierge team, restaurant, housekeeping and bar staff who gel together to perform like a well oiled machine. The Soho truly is proof that you get what you pay for and whilst I realise its s at the expensive end of the market it does make up for it in terms of quality of service, if you get the chance to visit I would be surprised if you were not truly impressed. If I could only visit one more hotel in my life its would be the Soho!

We hired the downstairs of the hotel for a family birthday lunch for 22 of us. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the attention we received and their charming manner. Nothing was too much trouble. The ambience and facilities where just beautiful and to have the use of a private bar was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, exceptional actually. I cannot rate this hotel more highly for a private function. Thank you Soho hotel for making our special day so memorable.
