Travelers' Choice
The Corner London City is a new concept design hotel... and the greenest hotel in London! Located close to bustling Brick Lane and the trendy bars, art galleries and boutiques of Shoreditch, it offers an off-the-charts experience for urban explorers who are hungry for new and unique experiences. Green credentials, quirky style and sociability are the revolutionary values at the heart of the hotel, that set it apart from all other hotels. Our bedrooms are futuristic in design, featuring a unique, all-in-one, cube-shaped pod, which includes the bed and the bathroom. The pod is sustainably built, features Super-King beds with ridiculously comfy organic handmade hypoallergenic mattresses, an integrated 32" LCD TV, reading/mood lighting, UK/EU and USB sockets, hairdryers, and a laptop safe. All our en-suite bathrooms have a powerful rain shower with water-saving technology, a steam-free mirror and luxurious organic toiletries. Bespoke, handmade furniture and locally sourced fixtures and fittings also add personality: no two of our quirky rooms are the same! Complimentary premium tea and coffee is offered on floors 1 to 4. Don't say we don't love you! At The Corner London City, a special attention is given to eco-friendly initiatives (such as solar panels on the roof, strong focus on all things recycling and energy-saving, organic toiletries, etc.) and to supporting the local community, while our calendar of monthly events in the hotel lounge feed our guests' creative hunger and attract the best of the local crowd too. Our in-house bar and restaurant offers great breakfast options for all tastes, as well as a modern all-day food & snacks menu, made from locally and sustainably sourced ingredients. Our free and super-fast Wi-Fi throughout the whole building makes the lobby the perfect place to eat, drink, work and/or socialise. A private secure gated car park with electric car charging points, recycled bikes for our guests to borrow (to enjoy the full East London experience!), luggage storage, a 24-hour front desk and express check-in/out. By focussing on delivering exceptionally well on the essentials, plus a whole load of cool extras and none of the stuffy frills typical of the previous generation hotels, at The Corner London City we pride ourselves in offering an incredibly personal experience to our guests and great value for money. Come sleep with us!

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this newly decorated hotel. The concept and decoration is wonderful, the sustainability message is clear throughout the building but not intrusive. It is clean, well laid out, very guest friendly and the staff are all attentive, caring and helpful. Nice looking bar area, great continental breakfast, free coffee and tea availble all day and free wifi. Huge comfy beds, great shower. Will definately stay again. Thank you to all the great team working there.

This little hotel was a big surprise. The price for the night was extremely good, the service and staff were great, the food excellent (some of the best salmon fillet I've had in a long time), the rooms are funky, good mattresses, amazing shower, short walk from Brick Lane and area with some extremely good restaurants. So many vegan restaurants in the area!! I can really recommend this hotel to anyone. Hopefully we can stay here again one day. This is a little gem in the heart of London.

This hotel hits all the fundamentals well: price, location, ammenities, service level. Though this should not be viewed through the lens of a full service hotel, as room service an similar luxuries are not in offer. No, this place has fast internet with solid wifi, a glorious rainshower head with good hot water pressure and a comfortable bet with a range of pillows. The restaurant is pretty darned good, and the staff helped us quickly resolve three issues. Location: it’s Zone 1 on the tube, so get the Oyster Card! You will pay reasonable rates. The closest tube station is East Aldgate, with the next closest and more full service being Aldgate. The neighborhood is near to Brick Lane, Spitalfields, The Tower, and is seeing heavy construction ( though thankfully quite quiet while we were there!). There are some scuzzy urban aspects of this area, but nothing that was alarming to us. Cost: Sunday is cheap, other days not so much. The VAT tax cranks the price up. Compared to other hotels it fit the bill for iur budget. If you’re reading this, maybe you’re thinking it coukd for you. Sleeping: the bed is a queen or king, but of the european style. This is really two twins next to each other, as is the common solution in Europe/UK, probably other places that aren’t the USA. I have never found this to be a problem, or maybe I have just realized it’s not a big deal. If that’s a concern for you, you’ll be hard pressed to find a true king or queen style bed. LSS: the bed is comfortable and we slept well and deeply. No regrets staying here. A good pick.

The room is not big, but not a tiny box as in some hotels. The room was clean and check in and check out was so easy! The breakfast was great! Although on Saturday it was quite crowded and some management would have been needed clearly, since there was lack of everything. Just two tips - two chairs in the room would be nice so two people can sit and eat/drink. Maybe you could sell some snacks on the bar or have automatic kiosk? If you arrive late, there is really nothing you can eat here - not even salted nuts.
