This hotel is convenient for short stays in the Finsbury Park area as opposite it and although pleasant is basic. The entrance is pretty with a reception opposite a trendy seating area that looks like a load of comfortable padded chairs made into one large communal settee. There was also seating areas with plants, pictures, tables, lamps and chandeliers, giving the lobby a homely feel and leads to the breakfast area. The breakfast area had a counter with snacks for sale and there was a buffet section for breakfast. There was an outside seating area at the back & the front of the hotel.
Despite paying for the room by cash the receptionist asked for an additional deposit which was refundable the next day. A tiny mirrored lift took us to the floor where our room was. The good size room had a wooden double wardrobe with a safe and a 2-drawer chest in. There was a matching desk with desk chair and 1 matching bedside table next to a king size bed. Down 1 side of the desk was a drawer and a cupboard with 2 shelves. Above the desk was a hairdryer, a large mirror and tea/coffee facilities on the desk. In the room was also a full length mirror opposite the wardrobe.
The bathroom was big but plain and had a bath with the shower incorporated within it so not useful if you're unable to step into the bath. The sink had a built in cupboard underneath it and only soap is available so don't forget your other toiletries.
The view from our window was of the car park so not interesting at all.

I booked this place a month before I travelled over, it cost nearly €250, about £200. I was there for a concert so I decided to pay it. Room was tiny, shower was tiny too, shower head about as big as the actual shower itself. Plug socket was locked by the kettle, across the room, absolutely ridiculous. The room was boiling too, the window did help though. The receptionist was very rude, speaking to customers as if she looked down on them, at a price of £200 for one night I would’ve expected more. I will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend this to the rats on the street.

The room was not as advertised in the pictures. No plug sockets by the bed, at other side of the room by the door and desk, the light switch was by the door, should definitely be one by the bed also, no toiletries provided in bathroom as advertised in pics. A desk is provided but no chair to sit down to dry your hair. Tea/Coffee facilities are fine maybe some biscuits to go with them, after a long day travelling. A hot breakfast would have been nice in morning. Also was very loud with people shouting and roaring and doors banging at all hours of the night. After a long day of travelling I got hardly any sleep.

The most horrible experience ever: the room I booked didn’t look like the pictures on their websites. The room I booked didn’t look like the pictures you can see on their website, and the bathroom was very dirty, so they changed my room, and two days later, they asked me to pay extra charges, this is something I’ve never seen before! There is this awful damp smell in the corridors and the bathroom. Their towels are dirty, I had to change them a few times. The receptionist was very rude, and the lift doesn’t work, so be sure you don’t have heavy luggage cause they won’t help you or complain about it. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to the rats on the street.

No AC so our room was boiling we asked for a fan, luckily there was one left but was broken and dusty, not ideal when you suffer from allergies! Tiny room and en-suite, not enough space for 3 people, one small double (whole bed moves when you turn over or lean against the headboard as on wheels) and a very small and uncomfortable sofa bed with no protective cover, not suitable for anyone over 5 ft! Floor dirty and covered in hair. Shower also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Came back to our room the second night to find little bugs everywhere and dead moths! Which made our already uncomfortable and hot night even worse. Paid for breakfast which came in a bag due to renovations, which we were informed about when booking however it was very average, yoghurt, croissant‘s in packets and cereal bars, nothing cooked or fresh apart from 1 unripe pear each.

Only positive is the location as attending an event at Finsbury Park just across the road. Sadly this hotel has so much potential and could be so easily improved. If ever returning to Finsbury we would much rather make the journey to a nicer hotel. would not recommend and will never return.

This is a scam! We originally booked the adjacent sister hotel Queens Drive and saw decent pictures of what was supposed yo be our room for £161/night. When we arrived at Queens drive, they claimed Booking.com had overbooked the hotel. Then they then moved me and my friend to the Pembury hotel in another room which was clearly inferior to the one we had booked and had seen pictures of. When I started complaining, they offered me a lower price (£95 instead of £161) and claimed Booking.com will refund me the difference and claimed the poor room they showed me was actually worth £230. This was manipulation to convince me I was actually getting a good deal. We had to stay as we had tickets for a concert that evening. I called Booking.com the same night and they said none of it was true. Other guests were also complaining about being scammed and being accommodated in very poor conditions. This was a very distressing experience and I don’t recommend this hotel or the Queens Drive to anyone!

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. Single rooms are very small, beds are extremely uncomfortable, you can feel the iron in the bed. Neither the door nor the windows nor walls are soundproof and you can hear all the sounds from the room. their heaters are not working in december. I believe that nobody wants to stay in a cold hotel. I also noticed that sometimes they leave the back door of the hotel open, unfortunately the hotel is not secure too.

Desperate to find a bed for the night as our previous hotel which we booked in months advance for an event, cancelled the booking without telling us and only found out as we turned up. We was charged £180 for a room which is a shoe box, bed sheets were filthy there was a finger nail on on bed. The bathroom is tiny there no ventilation there is an extractor fan but no switch and has dust so thick it obvs hasn't been used it like ever. You can barely shut the door you have to physically sit on the toilet before u can shut the door behind you. It's so hot it the rooms but not air con or air flow as the windows hardly open. Only a main light no bed side lamp, Minimal cheap furniture as there's no room for anything else. Absolute joke and to top it off we went through 6 key cards because when we got the first one it wouldn't open the door and when we got back from a long walk from the stadium and up all the stairs our cards wouldn't work again. Honestly WTF, coming up the stairs we actually saw a family leave becausw they couldn't physical stay in the room and there's another couple arguing next door as the bloke wants tomleave its that bad. The hotel itself looks like a building site as there's wood in corridors and walls that haven't been finished painting and doors and all scribbled on.

The location of the hotel is ok 5 min walk from Finsbury Park station, Victoria and Piccadilly lines and overground rail services. Few shops and pubs etc around, albeit a bit rough (head down keep walking kinda place!)That’s the nicest things I can say about this hotel!

The room, disgusting. The pictures do not look like the room atall. The wooden furniture had paint missing, was warped and dirty. The bed was like a brick with horrible pillows. Then the bathroom..... smaller than the closet. No joke. The shower only had burning hot or freezing cold water. Flooded after 3 mins of use. You physically couldn’t sit on the toilet for the sink unit being in the way, and the sink tiny! Oh and there was dried blood all over the door. Yes, dried blood.

The noise from other rooms was overbearing. You could hear every word from any guest in all rooms around. There are also doors along the corridor which make a huge sound, so as people come and go you hear doors and general chatter really loudly. It was impossible to sleep!!

I complained to reception but nothing they could do. Refused to even let us swap rooms and didn’t seem surprised or concerned about the blood we cleaned off the bathroom door!!

The breakfast was ok but not the advertised price. £8.75 each not £7.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Uncomfortable, noisy and dirty room.

This hotel has got to be avoided. If you stay having read this review then you deserve what you get as it is absolutely terrible. Other reviewers post the positive that it is well located (true) but l will walk or take the bus in future in order to avoid this place so not really a pro.
So onto the review. It started with them contacting me a few days prior to visit to invite me to cancel as there was noisy building work but we were going to a weekend music event so not bothered about that (I so wish l had cancelled but there you go). So we checked in and we’re give a key card which didn’t work so down to reception to get it recoded. Still no good and 4 keycards later it was decided the door lock was faulty so we would have to get someone to let us in each time we returned (absolute joke).
Then into the room. Really nasty damp smell pervaded everywhere so windows opened, toilet flush was temperamental (ie didn’t work), no hangers in the wardrobe, TV did not work. Spoke to someone in reception but “maintenance” had gone home it seems and there were no other rooms available! The beds were awful, bathroom tiny and the shower didn’t work. How you are meant to use the sink is beyond my imagination. Room was overall very dirty and there were even exposed wires behind the headboard which l feel are dangerous and wouldn’t pass building regulations.
Wish l had read reviews before but it was a rush booking but have subsequently read them and the same points were being raised as far back as 2018 so obviously nothing getting done to improve it.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. You have been warned.

I tried to complain there, there was no book to write, the manager not available, they gave me his email and he never replied. I have photos of the horrible things that were in my supposed to be clean room.

About the shuttle I don't know, but from Gatwick there's the Gatwick express to Victoria station and then the blue line to Seven sisters road, Arsenal station. From there it is like 5-10 mins walk.

En tren spress hasta la estación de Victoria y de ahí metro hasta Finsbury Park. No es complicado. Buen viaje!
