Best find in London after coming here for 30years. Great value for a large sun-lit room. 2mins from the tube station and surrounded by cafes, shops, and a park. Reception was knowledgeable and warm. Felt so safe and comfortable. Have already booked return stay.

Hotel's Favorite
From the very beginning the hotel was perfect, a large (average cost for London)car park was opposite. Checking in was easy, the receptionist was very polite. The reception/bar was lovely, original fireplace and stove made it look great. The room was clean and everything we needed. The hotel itself was well situated for us. Very good hotel which we will definitely stay in again.

Went to The Morton Hotel with my partner for a weekend and had a fantastic time! We were greeted by a lovely lady called Elizabeth at reception. She was very kind and was really informative. There was a situation where I needed extra pillows, and she was happy to help. I will definitely be visiting the hotel again!

I had the most comfy and cozy time at The Morton. We went for drinks at The Library and the receptionist, Elizabeth and Jovan were well mannered and polite. The drinks were amazing and the bar had a great option to choose from. I would definitely go again. Only downfall is the music

We were very happy with our experience at the Morton Hotel. The location was perfect for us, easy walk to British Museum and Tube station. The room was a good size and the bathroom was very modern with heated floor and towel rack. The room was stocked with amenities (Nespresso machine & pods, tea, hot chocolate, water, wine and a spa candle (for New Years Eve). Comfortable and quiet.

We spent eight nights at the Morton Hotel and will certainly consider it when we're in London again. Most importantly, the location was perfect for us. The room was comfortable with a roomy bathroom, and there were nice touches like bathrobes, cookies and bottled water replenished daily, heated towel racks, etc. A few things in the room looked a little worn out or dirty, but nothing too noteworthy. Our biggest issue was with the staff. For the most part, everyone was friendly and seemed to want to be helpful, but it was difficult to get anything taken care of. These weren't complicated requests - for example, we couldn't seem to get our body wash refilled for days. Our dirty towels were removed but not replaced. We couldn't get clean drinking glasses, etc. etc. There just didn't seem to be much follow through when we would mention these things, and sometimes we were simply told NO. It seemed to be something new each day, and by the end of our trip it had become sort of funny.

After an overnight flight and one of the coldest days of the year we were looking forward to a hot shower, a warm room and a comfy bed. But it was not to be. The room was very cold. We reported the fact and was told the heat in the room would be turned on and the room would warm in 20 minutes. After two hours the room was still cold and we could not take off our coats. We again reported the fact to the manager who was perfectly pleasant and assured us the heating would be rectified. After a further half hour the situation was no better and we were affected another room. This was equally cold so we cut our loses and stayed in the original one. We went out for a meal but were unable to use the safe as it had been left locked. We returned to find the room still uncomfortably cold. We went to bed in some of our clothes. We left in the morning only to find there was a kettle and two cups and a coffee machine but no tea bags coffee sugar spoons etc. it was too cold a use the shower so we’re left to get breakfast outside. The room itself was clean and the bed and bed linen good quality. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped but because of the cold we were unable to use these facilities. This hotel could have been a good place to stay and at reasonable value but because of all of the problems it wasn’t. Previous reviews had highlighted the heating issues so this is one of the problems this hotel needs to address.

Got there early. Can we check-in?———-“No” WiFi available in their strange basement lobby?——“no” Tv remote in room?——nope Privacy sign on door ——no 1 hour extra for late checkout? ——“no” Did we just stay in a prison? What happened to hospitality??

This is a nice comfortable hotel in a very convenient part of London. The staff are friendly and welcoming. However, we reported a flashing light in the corridor outside our room on our first evening. This was not repaired during the four nights of our stay. We reported that our room was cold and the heating did not seem to be working on the first morning. Despite reminders at least twice a day on our first three days and assurances that the issue would be rectified, it never was. It would have been warmer for us to sleep in the corridor, despite the flashing light! Having booked our breakfast on our last evening, most of what we ordered was not available in the morning. Nobody seemed to be in charge or responsible for maintaining standards.

The hotel is in a wonderful location just down the street from Russell Square tube station and a short walk from the British Museum. The room was very large and had plenty of amenities -- robes, small fridge, coffee and tea maker with selections refreshed daily, iron and ironing board, etc. The small desk area was perfect for getting ready in the morning. The bathroom was also very spacious and plenty small kits (shaving, toothbrush & paste, sewing, shower caps) were provided. The cat-themed wallpaper and rugs throughout the hotel were a cute touch. The elevator was also appreciated. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in the streets around the hotel as well. The only negative I can think of was if you are being dropped off by car, it can be very difficult to find a place to stop due to the hotel being along a very busy street. That's a minor quibble for such a nice, spacious room in a very central London location!
