Last night myself and my partner checked in at Park Avenue Hotel and was hosted by Nidhan and Valentine who both were extremely welcoming and lovely. My partner and I had a very bad experience while dining out and when I had explained to them the evening we had, they were so understanding, kind and sympathetic. Often you don’t find people who are as devoted to their job to provide the full experience but what made it for us was that they were open to listen but not only this, having checked in so late because of the troubled night Nidhan had ever so kindly upgraded our room to the deluxe club and complimentary late check out. We were both ever so touched by the outstanding customer service. I believe good staff is what makes the environment a welcoming and nice place and they really brought that feeling for us in our stay. The room was nice and cozy, quite considering that it is located in central London and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel! Thank you for an amazing stay.

On first impressions the room was fairly nice but a closer inspection found that it wasn't quite what we expected. The net curtain was ripped - a small issue but it just made it feel a bit lacklustre. The bedding had a few questionable white staines on it which we really didn't appreciate. A part of the shower was missing and there was mould growing at the bottom of it. It needed a good deep clean. The worst, and most troubling part of our stay was that at around 7pm on both nights we stayed our bathroom started to smell like cigarette smoke - until around midnight. We called up reception on the first night and someone came up but told us that they've looked around and can't find a source for the smoke, and that they can't knock on other people's doors so nothing could be done. On our second night I woke up with insect bites all over my legs - my partner didn't have this issue so it may be that I was just unlucky, but after our other experiences it just made me feel even worse about our stay. We could also here people stomping up and down the stairs constantly throughout the night, not good if you're a light sleeper. Another slightly unsettling thing was that there were hand sanisitisers everywhere...that were completely empty. There are plenty of hotels in London that are a similar price and arguably in better locations, I would strongly reccomend you stay somewhere else instead.

Expected more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Got sent to the wrong room that was already occupied. Net curtain on window was ripped. Room was small. Comfy bed though and a good shower. Fire alarm went off at 0230! Was soon turned off. Forgot to ask why it happened.
