Just finished a one week stay at Park Avenue with my wife, we were both visiting London and very happy with our choice of hotel. The rooms were modern and for the price well sized, and had all the usual amenities. Breakfast was also good and filled us up until lunchtime. The reception, porters and cleaning staff were helpful, and when we asked actually recommended some good restaurants! The hotel is a couple minutes walk from both Baker Street tube and Marylebone National Rail train stations, and lots of bus stops too, so can't beat the location for getting around London. Will be staying again when next in London.
Quiet location and excellent hotel, the room was clean and comfy and well turned out. The Shower whilst a little low on water pressure was good. When I arrived I had booked twice by accident and was helped to resolve this by Nora on the front desk, this lady deserves a promotion she was kind courteous and professional.
Very very unclean hotel. The first room we were put in had no working aircon. In both rooms the phones weren’t working - I believe this is on purpose, so you can’t contact reception. Breakfast is not as advertised. I emailed a few days prior to our stay to advise I would need some gluten free options, this email was ignored and so all I had for breakfast was a yoghurt pot and apple. I would really recommend you don’t stay here
Stayed one night for a quick trip to London. Hotel is in great location, staff were lovely and friendly, room was clean, bed was very comfy and shower pressure was great. Booked a Club Double Room for more money but the room was still pretty small, so not sure how small a standard room is. We prepaid for breakfast but was told the restaurant was closed so it would be delivered to our room in the morning, at a time of our choosing. However, all that came was a couple of croissants, piece of fruit and a yogurt - which was disappointing. But this may not be issue soon as Covid restrictions start to lift.
So my partner and i stayed here for 1 night, despite booking 2 nights. The place was in a fantastic location and looks presentable from the outside. Inside the reception is clean and inviting but stank of pure bleach on arrival which was overwhelming. After a lengthy check on we were escorted to our room (we were given a choice of 3). The hotel is split into 2 buildings and we were over the other side of the road. Again, the decor was clean and modern and overall pleasant. The room itself, despite booking a deluxe double was tiny. Barely room to walk around to the other side of the bed!! Regardless, the room was fairly clean and presentable. There were lots of cobwebs on the ceiling and a rogue lightbulb balancing on top of the shower screen. Everything else was clean. The room was NOT as advertised. On booking, it was stated you got water and soft drinks complimentary as well as a hairdryer. There was no complimentary drinks except the usual tea and coffee. The only option was to order drinks for £2. The hairdryer was missing (i didn't find this out until after showering!!!!) There were also no coat hangers in the room. Now on checking in, we were offered continental breakfast of fruit, yoghurt and croissants and a drink for £5 each and were able to select a time for this to arrive to our room. we gave our order and requested an 830am breakfast. The next morning, 9am we still hadn't received this so called over to reception and were told the receptionist hadn't stated a time so they were waiting for us to call and said it would be sent over. At 930, STILL not breakfast so we called again and we were asked what we wanted and told it would again be sent over. another 20 mins went by and we finally received it. Not at all worth the wait but we were hungry and had to eat before venturing out. Next, the reason we only stayed 1 night. We had booked the 2nd night separately but had confirmation emails to show we had in fact booked the 2nd night. my partner went over to double check this was all in order and we would be in the same room. He was told they had no 2nd night on system and only had single rooms left so we would need to leave!!!!! Even with the evidence of a 2nd night they refused to assist further. We then said we would need to check out an hour later to allow us time to pack etc as we weren't prepared to leave. During this hour we had tbe do not disturb light on yet housekeeping knocked on our door asking when we were leaving!!!!! Overall, we weren't impressed with this hotel. From falsely advertising on booking.com to messing up the booking, to being incapable of delivering a few bits of fruit on time. The minor inconveniences outweighed the positives in this case.…
