Disappointed with our stay here, which was supposed to be a Valentine’s getaway. We were given a room in another building over the road in a basement. It was very dark and dingy with no view and a constant generator noise. We were told there were no other rooms available. It was also very cold in the basement and we called reception who came over and told us to give it time to heat up. After about an hour it was still cold so they gave us a fan heater. I think it’s reasonable to expect them to heat up the room prior to guests arriving if they know it’s colder in the basement. I’d just come out of hospital the day before and this was supposed to be a treat. The room was tiny too and the TV is situated on a wall where it can only be seen on one side of the bed. The building is nice to look at and the bathroom was a decent size but overall disappointed.…
Originally placed in another part of the hotel across the road. It was a basement room with no window. I called and requested a change so we were moved back to the main building to the 3rd floor - much better. Still a bit grimey with grubby floors but it was tolerable. The thing that disrupted my sleep though was the bright green light above the door - I assume this was indicating it was a fire exit? Unnecessarily bright though. Other than that, the staff were nice, the location was great, the breakfast was okay. It was good.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Its not more than a 30 minute walk to oxford street, close to baker street tube station and lords cricket ground.I would happily stay here again.
We had made a reservation for a De Luxe room. On arrival we had a small room with an even smaller bed. Around 1,30m. We complained, but they did not have an alternative. We wanted to cancel, but the manager was not there and could not be disturbed. Next day she was there and made an effort to help. She offered a larger room with a larger bed. This room was more spacious, but was in the cellars and had only a small window with no view. We did not pay for the breakfasts we had, which was a nice gesture. The hotel has rooms on both sides of the street.
I stayed at the hotel for more than 2 weeks and the staff here are exceptional, they will go out of their way to help you with everything needed. The room was great, the facilities are very nice. The location is very good. I will visit back soon in the summer.
I had a room booked here, via my wife's account, for 18th September. I have an important medical appointment on 19th, which happens to be the date of The Queen's funeral, so I booked a room to ensure I could get to my appointment despite the expected travel chaos. Cost of room: £135. Five days before the booking, they tell me the room is no longer available and the booking is cancelled. I check online and they have free rooms, cost £347. It looks very much like they cancelled my booking to resell the room at a higher price. That is sharp practice and shows they have zero regard for their customers. Be warned....
Messaged hotel the day before to book early check but no record of it. Nice hotel with polite staff though. Plenty of amenities in the room and it was clean. Our room was across the street. Nice quiet area within walking distance of the tube and station.
Want to leave a review for this hotel. Check in was smooth and easy. The room was quite a number of steps to get to as they put us on floor 3 , however the room made up for it. Clean and enough room, everything we needed for one night. Bathroom was spotless and walk in shower easy to operate. Unfortunately the morning I was very unwell to come to breakfast on time. I called reception and they offered to serve me the continental breakfast. Myself and my husband went down to the restaurant whilst they took out plates coffee cups and lots to eat and drink just for us. Massive shout out to Kanisha (hotel manager) and Junaid (hotel staff) for kindly putting on a spread for us. They made us feel extremely valued and we couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness and hospitality. Lovely breakfast lovely hotel and amazing staff.…
This hotel is in a lovely spot just 4 mins walking distance to the Baker Street station. Lots of place to eat around. Was here for 2 nights just on a business meeting.Had a comfy bed and just right things needed in the room. The entire stay was without any issues and would recommend highly.
On a Saturday in June we found ourselves in Baker Street only to be told the hotel we had booked had made a mistake and we couldn’t stay there. This was at 11pm at night and we were stood outside with no one to talk to After knocking on several hotels doors in the street we know led on yours. A kind, gentle and honest man said he had no rooms but could clearly see my anxiety and said we could come in and charge our phones and sort ourselves out on your reception. Not only that but he helped us find a hotel and taxis after about 40 mins of trying!!! I cannot thanks him enough! We would have been left to walk streets or sleep outdoors. I do not know his name but he will definitely remember us!! Please could you pass on our thanks! What a gentleman! I highly recommend this hotel and it’s staff!!…
