Most things broken including Air conditioning in room Sauna not hot Water features in pool Steam room not hot Handles falling off showers in pool Definitely not 5 star. More 3 at best Staff not really helpful after a hot room no fans Breakfast was OK but cold
We visited this hotel for a business meeting. Great service, kindness, professionalism and attentiveness of the waiter Ramadan. Perfect location. The food was good too. We’d definitely come back. Recommended!
We stayed at the Courthouse Hotel for a night last week and it was the perfect to explore the Soho area. Staff were all friendly, especially the receptionist that gave me a complimentary upgrade for our wedding anniversary. Room well equipped and very clean and modern, with kettle and tea/coffee sachets. Brwakfast fast and efficient, although it’s a buffet the gentleman was very attentive and offered to replenish our food a couple of times. Would use again!
😱 this place is great…. Ash is the best. He knows how to welcome and also accommodate one’s needs. He made sure we were more than comfortable, the hotel is clean and prestige. Wonderful place. Had fun
The hotel seemed shut, staff not very helpful. We were told the sky bar was going to be open as the hotel bar was closed, the sky-bar was NOT open and looked like it never was going to be. Coming back at 10.30 pm after seeing 10cc next door. We were hoping for a few nibbles and drinks before bed. All we got was two small bottles of water, we paid just over £250 For the night. Totally understand if you have no staff, but it really felt like a night in the cells!!!
Decided to go for afternoon tea here, seemed ok when booking so went for it. Arrived slightly early and the hotel looked ok, we're told to go in to a small restaurant which was actually an oriental place which was confused with Red Indian as there were dream catchers on the wall too so I was a bit puzzled! We were the only ones there it was dead, the room felt very cold and unwelcoming, not quite what I imagined after seeing pictures of the place! Now the food, champagne was alright, no expert on it so can't comment too much! Sandwiches were described as cottage cheese and cucumber, it was actually cream cheese! This was ok as were the salmon, coronation chicken and egg sandwiches. All the cakes were good, but the scones needed more jam and cream, not quite enough for 4 scones. All in all ok but it could be better, I would look elsewhere for a better afternoon tea next time.…
Was treated by family to an afternoon tea at the Courthouse hotel. This was dreadful. Another review pending!! Do not do a tea here!!!!!!’ So we decided to book an overnight stay at the hotel as a treat!! Big mistake. Thinking we could take a little nap before we went for our night out in London, OH NO!!! Thud thud, doosh doosh! Ibiza party night started about 3.30pm!!! My husband wet to investigate as we thought next door were having a party and we hadn’t been invited!! No it’s the bar above us on 6 th floor!!! So if you stay and you want to sleep, do not have 5th floor room like us!!! Breakfast was awful, a cold, hot buffet and undercooked food!! Toast is either not cooked or burnt. Coffee weak and orange juice had no flavour!!’ Went to breakfast and thought we would go back to bed for a little nap before day out. OH NO. 8.45 am workmen start drilling in the light well from next door!! I’ve now had enough and we checked out. Although check out wasn’t until 12! The only good thing about this hotel is the room was very clean and nicely decorated. Nice lobby. Swimming pool wasn’t working!! We would not stay here again!!! Over priced for its standard. You will get same if not better from the travelodge.…
We had a lovely stay, very well located hotel. We had two rooms, both very clean and comfortable. The cell areas in the bar were novel and fun. Ramadan who served us at breakfast deserves a special mention, he was very attentive to our needs, even preparing a plate for us to take back to the room for my autistic son who rarely copes with restaurant environments.
I'm astounded by the description of this as a 5 star hotel. It is ideal if you are going to the London Palladium, as it is 30 seconds away, but it is really just a place to rest your head, which I would consider on a par with a Travelodge. I actually felt very uncomfortable from the outset here. On check in reception directed me to the lifts to my room but two separate members of staff one after the other, stopped me, to question me as to where I was going, as though I was entering an unauthorised zone. It was bizarre. One shouted 'excuse me, excuse me' at me then followed me to ask me if I was going to the restaurant, I said no I am going to the lifts, he then left, then the next one came along requiring me to tell him what my room number was, and when I said, it, I was allowed to get in the lift. What an excellent way to make people feel unwelcome from the outset. There didn't seem to be anyone else in the hotel. I've stayed in plenty of London hotels, you usually see people milling about: here there was no one. I didn't even hear people leaving their rooms for breakfast in the morning. It was really odd. It is like one of those mattress shops or laundrettes that never have any customers... Is it a hotel you aren't meant to stay at?! From what I could tell there was no room service. There was no ironing board or iron in the room and there was an empty fridge. There was a kettle and some mini sachets of coffee just like you get in a Travelodge. There was a telephone on the wall next to the toilet in the bathroom. As I say, central location and handy for the Palladium but don't go expecting a nice hotel stay, go as a place to sleep only.…
My client booked this hotel for me on a recent trip to London. The hotel is very run down. Nothing seems to work as it should and there are a lot of broken items left lying around. Staff generally uninterested, food is terrible and its not a relaxing place to stay. As I was getting out the shower to get dressed, a housekeeper barged into my room (which I had locked but clearly the lock hadn't worked). I called out to leave as I wasn't dressed and they continued into the room to ask me when I was checking out. I said I would be checking out at check out time and to leave as I was naked (at this point I had grabbed a sheet). The housekeeper ignored this and kept asking me when I was leaving my room and I told them to leave my room immediately. I shouldn't have to ask a member of staff to leave my room while I'm naked. I'm horrified and I don't normally complain, but I would hate to have anyone else travelling alone be vulnerable like this. Make sure your rooms lock correctly. I have complained to the manager and did receive an apology but this shouldn't have happened.…
