We recently booked accommodation, via Mr & Mrs Smith booking, at the Laslett for later this month, as part of our trip to the UK from Australia, and we were looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately, we have been forced to change our plans and cancel the booking, nearly four weeks in advance of our planned stay. We had paid...

We had an amazing two night stay for my girlfriend's birthday. We loved the hotel reception, the staff, the house cocktails and the amazing bathroom! Of course, the room was pretty special too - definately recommend paying the extra for the suite and also request a room with a free standing bath.

Location of this hotel is fantastic, easy access to Tube and surrounding areas. We stayed in a master bedroom double and this was a good size with a well stocked mini bar. All staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast menu for us however was a little limited. This was full of great healthy options, muesli and berries, granola, etc. but...

My first stay at The Laslett and I wasn't disappointed ! The service is somewhat casual but very personal. I can't vouch for all the rooms, however my Master Suite was perfect. Beautifully decorated with personal-feel touches, traditional with a contemporary twist I would say. Beautiful linens and upholstery used throughout. Breakfast is nice and casual with lighter options than...

Just came back from a weekend stay. We picked this place based on its location (Notting Hill) and the attractive pictures on the website. Positives: + Design is very well done, both public areas and rooms. The Laslett has been assembled from a number of classic terraced houses, joined together. There are only few rooms, creating a very intimate feel....

Fantastic brand new property that finally delivers a boutique high-end townhouse hotel concept which was badly lacking in Notting Hill. Nothing but praise for this location, design and staff. They have truly thought about what you want for the perfect stay and delivered across the board. This is now where I'll stay while in London - period. (Oh and Tom...

What an amazing hotel. We stayed on the opening night and everything was perfect. The general manager welcomed us at the door and made sure we had everything we needed. Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized REN bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
