5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

It was my first trip to London, and found this beautiful boutique hotel on the internet. Read all the reviews and decided it was exactly what I wanted. Great location, beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. I travel a lot in business and always stay in large 5 star hotels, but this trip was a vacation and I wanted the intimacy... More

Newer property that has the kinks worked out. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Good beds, helpful willing staff, good food, great location to Portobello Rd ad Tube station. Only negative I had was hearing doors opening closing mid morning either from cleaning staff or other guest or both but it was 9am. Other than that was very pleased for the value.... More

Spent a lovely Friday evening catching up with friends in the library of The Laslett. The staff are friendly and attentive without the stuffiness of some London Hotels, making us feel extremely welcome. The bar staff were very knowledgable of the bar menus and made great suggestions of cocktails for us to try, which we were more than happy to... More

Quiet location in Nottingham Hill. Near subway and lots of services. Quiet bar with limited but adequate menu with good prices. Good service. Brand new property. Modern and sleek design. Fair value for pricey city.

Right next to Notting hIll tube station so easy reach from Paddington. Booked a 'spare double room' which was 1 floor below ground so no outside few. Shame as the hotel was excellent, staff were very efficient, breakfast was excellent with a really good breakfast area overlooking the hotel front. Room service was also very good and check in/out super... More

I had a very enjoyable evening at The Laslett. The food was delicious and of great quality. Not only that, the waiters and barmen were very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the night. I had some excellent cocktails, would definitely recommend the punch!

What a pleasure to visit such a well appointed hotel, such attention to detail is rare. I find it difficult to find fault. The rooms are extremely comfortable in that I felt completely at ease. There was everything I needed. I ate in one night and was very satisfied with the cuisine. Totally recommend staying here.

Clean, newer hotel in traditional London frame. Great location. Staff excellent, I could not ask for more hospitality. All the privacy & courtesy of a hotel without sacrificing the feel of London. The rooms walls are a bit thin but really I slept fine after long days out in town.

New, still evolving. I've now stayed here for multiple days on three occasions, in March, June, July. A very appealing small hotel, combining sophistication and a fresh, casual atmosphere, in an optimal setting. Furnished with care, from the old Penguin paperbacks in the room to the Neals Yard toiletries, the terrific art on the walls, and the wonderful beds and... More

Very nice new hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Although check in is generally around 3pm, we had arrived early morning from the US. The hotel had been full the previous night, but the staff got a room cleaned for us and we we able to check in early. The bed was very comfortable. The only downsides were our... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized Neal's Yard bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
