We stayed at the Laslett for two days in August and paid £175 per night. The good stuff. The staff are fantastic and really friendly. Our room was small but very nicely appointed. The bathroom was sensational with an awesome shower. Our room also came with a smartphone that we could make calls on and take out with us free... More

This hotel was chosen after a search on tripadvisor and internet. I was happy to find out that it was to my satisfaction. Rooms were really great and clean. The location of the hotel is just perfect!! close to museums and parks and notting hill, not to mention shopping. The price was a bit too much for me although it... More

The best thing about The Laslett is location, its a minute walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station and a few minutes walk from Portobello road/market. The hotel is as it says, a small boutique hotel so the common areas are on the small side but the hotel was never busy enough that you couldnt find space to sit down... More

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - a quiet street in Nottinghill, steps from the Tube station. The hotel staff was pleasant. Rooms were a good size with comfortable beds, modern, chic design and comfortable beds with nice linens. It is a smaller boutique hotel, so there aren't the amenities of a bigger... More

The Laslett is certainly better than average, but it's not quite "very good" either. The pros: - great location: one minute walk from Notting Hill tube and around the corner from Portobello Market, walking distance to Kensington and Hyde Parks - good water pressure in the shower and Neal's Yard bath products - very clean and modern - fairly dark... Located on a quiet street in Notting Hill, The Laslett is both trendy and chic. With comfortable rooms and excellent service, I was beyond pleased with our stay. The rooms are spacious and the King size bed is quite accommodating. I enjoyed the spaciousness of the bathroom with a beautiful bathtub. The wifi, television and well-equipped plugs allow for an... I recently stayed at The Laslett 13.08.16. I had done my homework, I was looking for a small boutique hotel in the Notting Hill area of London so THe Laslett seemed perfect. I had a small reservation ad I called The Laslett for the best rate and was quoted £217.00 for a Master Double Bedroom with Breakfast, however a called... More

I've stayed here a few times since it opened (me + my wedding party stayed here in fact!) and I still love it. The staff go over and above (going to buy toothpaste for me at 11pm - thank you) and upgrading when possible. A beautiful hotel, reasonably priced (for London) and lots of interior ideas to be inspired by... More

It was my first trip to London, and found this beautiful boutique hotel on the internet. Read all the reviews and decided it was exactly what I wanted. Great location, beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. I travel a lot in business and always stay in large 5 star hotels, but this trip was a vacation and I wanted the intimacy... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized Neal's Yard bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
