Travelers' Choice
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized REN bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere.

Intimate, stylish and friendly. Four early 19th-century townhouses are woven into one boutique hotel. It's ideally located in upscale Notting Hill, a short walk from Kensington Gardens, the Central and Circle tube lines and is a 45-minute taxi ride to Heathrow,

Yes it's a good location, no that doesn't justify quite how expensive it is. Room small, bed uncomfortable, pillows uncomfortable, noisy from traffic, air con very old and loud (had to turn it off). Overall very bad quality sleep. Also touted as having spa facilities, which turns out to be a sauna pod thing that you can sit in, with your head poking out, for £70 for 50 mins... a rip off just like everything else about this hotel. Staff were nice and location is good. The room I stayed in was small and very dated, comfortable below standard given the price. If it wasn't paid for by my company I would have been far less okay with it. Opportunity for this hotel to be great if they sort rooms and facilities out.

Hi James, We are sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. We will certainly take your comments into consideration to improve ourselves. Our Notting Hill Townhouse does have several room types available - some more roomy than others - as some guests are staying for shorter periods, others longer. We would love to welcome you back to a bigger room next time; perhaps a Master Double or Master Suite. Unfortunately, it seems our bespoke Hypnos bed and pillows did not satisfy your needs for comfort and sleep, our apologies. We will use your feedback when the need to replace them presents itself, as sleep is the most prized aspect of any hotel stay. Our colleagues at Recharge Rooms do offer several services, among which the Ozone Sauna as you mentioned. Their lovely therapists also offer facial treatments, massages, IV drips, and hair treatments. We hope to be able to welcome you once again to The Laslett in the future.

The Laslett is one of the nicest boutique style hotels that I have had the pleasure experiencing. The staff are warm and welcoming from the moment you step through the front gate, to the moment that you leave. Simple, understated, modern elegance is the best way I can describe what the Laslett provides for you during your stay.

Loved this place, and the Notting Hill location was central and walking distance to restaurants and shops. I was with a group of friends and the outdoor dining near the street was fun with people strolling by. If ambiance is important to you - you'll love this place with funky art and more...

Staff were great and helpful. Location is prefect close to Tube and lots of parks. Rooms and corridor decor are just ok for the price. Don't buy the recharge package room rate - it's a waste of money.

Dear Hugh, Thank you for taking the time to review us after your stay. Guest reviews are paramount for us to understand what we do well, and, more importantly, where we can improve. I do apologise that you feel that way about the recharge package. Some guests get a lot out of it but its not ideal for everyone so I can understand that! In future, please feel free to reach out directly and we can make you a booking without the package involved. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

We had a weeks stay at the hotel. Great location - right near the tube, stylish rooms and communal areas - even fabulous food. The real hero of the hotel are its staff. Nothing was too much trouble, a special shout out to George who always looked after us and the breakfast crew for delivering that lifesaving tea and coffee. All of the staff had a lovely professional yet super friendly approach. My only criticism is that we booked a double room through bookings.com....and the description stated ' this double room has a king size bed'. The bed and air con are important to us. We got the air con but the bed was a large double, no way a king size; which certainly impacted our sleep.

Dear Polly, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review after your stay. It really means the world to us and is very important for us to know where we are doing things well and, arguably more importantly, how we can improve! I agree, George is fantastic, and the team as a whole are wonderful (biased, I know), and we really do our best to blend that line between a casual, friendly approach, and the professionalism that one would expect/hope for in a hotel. I'm sorry about the bed situation. Within categories there are slight differences between rooms, but its clear to me that you didn't quite get what you were promised through booking.com, but next time please do feel free to reach out to us directly to book the room and we will do everything in our power to ensure that everything in the room is exactly to your taste, and therefore will hopefully offer an improvement on your sleep! We very much look forward to welcoming you back!

Nice hotel with a good like for decoration, mixing a beautiful esthetic with less typical things. Very well located, with Notting Hill underground just around the corne. I really liked the staff, was like being with friends, they were not the typical.

My family of six (me, husband, two teenagers and an 11 year old and my 75 yo mom) stayed at the Laslett for a week in August. We had a great time! I was initially a little concerned that the rooms would be small (even by London standards), esp since we were staying for a week. We need not have worried. We had plenty of space among our three rooms. We were on the top floor, which probably helped. The hotel is just off the bustling Notting Hill Gate and you would never know it. It was very quiet. A little oasis after a long day out. The location is amazing for getting to every London site you may want to see!!! The hotel also has a cute little area out front where we would sit and enjoy a cocktail in the evening. There is also the cute library and breakfast room that were available. The staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing experience at the Laslett. The staff were all welcoming, attentive and knew about us each time we arrived. Also misplaced my room key at one point and they made a new one with ease. The room was quite comfortable and very well modeled, the air conditioning was welcomed given how hot it was outside. They have a lively restaurant and patio seating although we did not have a chance to try it the food smelled and looked wonderful each time we passed by. The hotel is also right around the corner from the notting hill tube station which makes it a breeze to get around via the district and circle lines as well as the central line. Make sure and explore the surrounding area there also some great places to eat! We would definitely stay with the Laslett on a future trip!

We loved our stay here. The rooms are cheery and well appointed. The restaurant is tasty with good variety and the location can’t be beat with only a few steps to the Notting Hill Gate Tube stop with service from the Circle Line, District Line, and Central Line. Of course, you’re also very neat to access to the Portobello Road Market.
