An excellent location if you want to be near the Thames. Great value for money with helpful, pleasant staff. The room was quiet and very clean. The continental breakfast was excellent value for money and set us up for a hectic day of sightseeing.

four friends stayed in this Premier Inn whilst visiting London to receive honorary degrees at the Festival Hall. The hotel was conveniently located and provided everything needed as a base. The rooms were quiet, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts were well presented and plentiful.

Good location with hard working staff. Plenty eateries in area and easy access to Bankside. Rooms clean and well serviced. Staff unobtrusive but there if you want them. Don't go if you want really personal attention every day. I would certainly recommend.

Premier Inn is usually my go to hotel of choice as I always think it's a good price for a standardised quality. However this experience has put me off Premier Inn! So I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for our party as we had a family wedding nearby. I emailed in advance and asked for rooms on the same...

Great location, very easy check in (arrived after 11pm), room was clean and had everything we needed. I like the predictability of Premier Inn - may not be the 'cheapest' but at least you know it will be 'good'.

Clean, comfortable, welcoming, quiet, all the right words apply. We were down for a flying visit, but felt immediately settled. They are quite safe in guaranteeing a good night's sleep. I slept like a baby despite having a long standing back problem....there was advice available on pillow options, excellent and thoughtful.

This hotel is an excellent location to Shakespeare globe, the Thames and many other attractions like the London eye, Big ben and the London dungeons and many great pubs, restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for a short family trip away.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
