Although the location on Gower st is superb (close to all key attractions- Whitehall - Camden market - British museum- Soho etc ) after a hard day shopping the last thing you want or need is a room without a view. For a 4* establishment this place was awful. Front of house staff tried there best to prepare me for... More

I booked this hotel for my daughters 30th birthday,o.m.g. I was so disappointed upon going through the door.NOT THE HOTEL It looks on the internet.it was very dated and the staff were so miserable they needed a personality transplant. the bed was clean but uncomfortable,it didn't have a mattress protector which most hotels do and we was put in the... Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is dirty, dated, in dire need of renovation, the carpet in our original room did not fit the floor showing old dirty floorboards underneath and the electricity did not work. We were moved to two single rooms which were tiny and the sockets are so embedded in the back of the so-called bedside... More

I'm not one for giving bad reviews when they aren't necessary but I was really not impressed by my room. It was so unbelievably tiny that I could hardly move about. With me and the suitcase there was no room for walking. The second thing is the room was so hot that the window had to be open constantly with... More

I was a bit sceptical after reading reviews on here but as usual i shouldnt of been. We had a room on the top floor for 3 of us. Plenty of space for all our stuff as it was only being used as a place to sleep not to live in.... Nice clean comfy beds (even the fold out one)... More

Many thanks to all the very hard working staff in Bloomsbury Palace for helping create lovely memories of our stay in London. We think this hotel is excellent value for money and would certainly stay here again.

I stayed here recently for one night, simply as somewhere in central London to ‘lay my head’. Fortunately it was no more than that. My ground-floor room, a couple of yards from Gower Street itself, was incredibly small, dingy and - frankly – smelly. (Tobacco odour would have been quite refreshing in comparison; but I suspect this may have been... More

Small rooms, basic breakfast and they could make an effort in cleaning. friendly staff. I have stayed here more than once so none of the above have scared me away. Ask for a room facing away from the street and you should be fine.

Paid £260 for a 2 night stay, arrived all looked ok & was told our room was no 5 on lower ground floor which rang alarm bells but we are always willing to give things a try. The hotel's name is Bloomsbury palace which is appropriate as all palaces have a dungeon & our room was it! Damp everywhere even... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
