Not a bad location just a couple of hundred yards from Southwark Bridge and 10 mins stroll from the City. Basic but clean and quiet. Careful though not to confuse with Ibis on Blackfriars Road next to Southwark Tube Station like I did!

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel which seems to have thought of everything, nothing irritated or concerned me at all. The decor is smart and the whole place was immaculately clean (I wish I could get my glass surfaces to look so immaculate!). My other half missed the opportunity to have a cooked breakfast, although he seemed... More

visited with my husband last weekend for one night - hotel itself is clean, very modern/ contemporary - all looks very new and fresh. The room was great - we were at the front of the hotel on the first floor - comfy bed, nice bathroom (shower only) some light traffic noise but nothing major. Only downside was that there... More

If you are in London and need some where safe, clean, welcoming etc and doing the usual Monday to Thursday stay over then this comes highly recommended. The staff are very attentive, especially as I have Parkinsons and Early onset dementia the team are very supportive when i am looking lost of scared and struggling with self service. The staff... My colleagues and I had a one night stay - we did not expect much because of the very reasonable price, but were all very pleased with this relaxed, and clean hotel, with very professional and helpful staffs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who has businesses around London Bridge area.

My wife and I travelled to London from the New Forest where we live as a birthday treat for my wife to visit the theatre and to meet up with our sons and daughters-in-law. We travelled by car for the convenience of not having to carry luggage around with us on the train and underground. The staff at the hotel... More

We booked well in advance and got an average price of £70 including continental breakfast for the 5 nights we stayed The rooms are quite small but adequate and we were pleased to have a good view of the Shard The continental breakfast was good with fresh fruit salad, fresh crusty bread in addition to sliced bread, boiled eggs, cheese... Stayed here 14/01/16. Originally pre-booked to pay £93 and ended up paying £120? Woman behind the desk was a cheeky thing and had the worse customer service skills ever. The room was the exact same one that I had already thought I'd payed for so why it was £27 I do not know. I'm not blaming it all on the... More

Stayed here on business. Great value. Excellent service from Alex on the front desk when I arrived bleary eyed at 9am after a flight from Sydney. Room was ready immediately - he is a credit to Ibis Styles and Accor for his great customer service skills and warm demeanor. The hotel is located perfectly - close to everything I needed.... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
