Had to make two separate bookings due to business requirements but the Mariott team was able to take care of the bookings and allowed me to stay in the same room without having to move. Check in and check out process was efficient, thanks to Daniel, Claudia and his team. I had a number of parcels delivered to the hotel and staff (esp. Daniel) was very helpful to ensure I received my deliveries. Location of hotel is excellent with easy access to Canary Wharf Underground station (Elizabeth line and Jubilee line) as well as the DLR. Overall a pleasant experience.

Check in was quick, and businesslike as you might imagine from a Canary Wharf hotel! The rooms themselves are a little dated but still really nice and high quality. The windows do not open at this hotel. You do however get amazing views out the window, and incredibly good soundproofing of the windows! I had everything out my window DLR etc. but can hear nothing of it really! Be aware of the step up to the bathroom! Stumbled on it without fail every time 😂 But, it does have a heated mirror, not seen one in a hotel for ages! The staff in the executive lounge were super every time I went in If you're arriving from The Elizabeth Line or the Tube head to Crossrail Place, walk through the right hand side of the Elizabeth Line station and turn left over the bridge. The hotel is the massive building ahead of you, and on the far side of the hotel near the Manhattan Grill you'll find the 'Quayside Entrance' - a great time saver! (see photos)

Having our wedding at the Marriot Hotel, Canary Wharf was the best thing we could have ever done! Absolutely no regrets and nothing but praise. Myself and my now Husband live in E14 - so the Marriot Hotel in Canary Wharf had fantastic transport links for the majority of our Guests. From our initial enquiry through to the wedding day (and even checking out the next day!!) was seamless. Our events Coordinators - Patricia (and her predecessor) were both absolutely fantastic at creating a bespoke wedding package for us. Patricia was an absolute godsend, from a supportive word to sincere patience with us (mainly me!) when everything seemed to be moving 100mph in the weeks leading up to the day. Having flexibility to offer our guests a choice of food was really important to us and to have this option available was fantastic. The food tasting session we had before the day was delightful and all of our comments were taken on board by the team. The chef's food was delicious and not a single person in our party had a bad word to say. The events team did an absolutely blinding job at preparing in a timely manner and went above and beyond to help with our additional touches which was a massive help on the day. The service from everybody we encountered on site was second to none. Both us, our family and our friends felt incredibly welcomed and catered for. Nothing was too much to ask. Our package included a DJ also who was really good and read the room well. It was particularly useful to have 1 less thing to worry about organising. If you are looking for a venue with elegance, charm, fantastic service, reasonable prices and a little bit of additional support via a package deal - we would highly we recommend the Marriot.

Great stay, very easy to get to Central London with trains/tube in walking distance. Tons of stores and restaurants nearby. I’d definitely stay here again. Great value for money. Staff was helpful as well.

Room was lovely apart from comments below. Bed was very comfortable and room was spacious and well equipped. The waiters in the the main bar were excellent and very helpful with a couple of questions that we asked them about the area. The staff at breakfast were very pleasant and helpful, even though they appeared a little understaffed they kept a smile on. Disliked · We experienced some Train noise from the nearby Tube line. There was mould in the corner of the bathroom, which was pointed out to Reception prior to leaving. Breakfast was a bit frantic with long queues waiting for tables. Only one coffee machine in such a large dining room was unacceptable, especially as it kept breaking down. Not much room between tables with people, including staff bumping into our chairs throughout our breakfast. Reception staff did not reach expectations with regard to our areas of complaint.

Response from Bertrand Dijoux, General Manager at London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf
Responded Aug 22, 2022
Dear Martyn H, First of all many thanks for your kind comments about the overall experience at the hotel and the staff at the bar and breakfast. We were however disappointed to hear about the disturbance from the nearby train tracks as well as your unpleasant experience during your breakfast. Please rest assured that this will be addressed internally to ensure this won't reoccur in the future. If there is anything at all I can do for you on the occasion of your next stay, please reach out to me directly. Kind Regards, Sandra Lehner Front Office Manager

The hotel itself was good and the rooms were really nicely decorated, clean and well appointed. It was also one of the hottest days of the year and the air conditioning was AMAZING and kept the room super cool all through the night. The man who checked me in on the front desk was the perfect mix of efficient, polite and warm, thank you for making me feel so welcome. Unfortunately my experience was marred by the experience at breakfast. The blonde lady who greeted me was extremely rude, asked for my room number and then gestured with her hand to take a seat somewhere. I then noticed the people after me got taken to their seat and explained to how breakfast worked. I'm not sure if I did something to upset the lady (if so I apologise!) and I don't know if it's because I was a solo traveller but this is now how I expect to be treated at a five star hotel. In addition whilst the breakfast offering was quite plentiful the hot food was actually very cold and quite unpleasant - I wouldn't recommend paying for the breakfast.

Firstly this hotel has soul - it has spirit - I stayed 8 nights it didn't all go well but wow when things went wrong they sorted it out - when things went right it was really right - I just say this is the place to stay in London. Not only is the position absolutely superb for access to all parts of London with the new Elizabeth line - the DLR is literally on your doorstep. However I think the most important thing is the senior staff - they are true hoteliers - they actually care and realize that guests are people - I'm so excited about this hotel that I didn't want to review them for fear of never being able to get a room again - but believe me stay there you won't go wrong. well done Marriott this is one of your finest - and to Sandra and Elvis - you guys rock - but more than that you have a talent and a passion for your hotel and people that is seldom seen - it was an honor to stay with you thank you

Very pleasant check-in experience. Warm welcome by the concierge, Andre. Offered help and support with my 5 suitcases and guided me through to the check in desk. Another shout out to front desk, Swathi. The whole check in experience made me feel that I am truly welcome by the Hotel, and Swathi explained the facilities and promotion of the Hotel in details, and helped me to choose the one which fit me most. Thank you all and will definitely choose this hotel again.
