Amazing stay at this hotel for 3 nights. We were upgraded to a Club Room which was really lovely, and our views of the financial district of London was great. A special mention must go to Fred at guest relations who checked us in, upgraded us and had a gorgeous chocolate cake and card sent to our room for our...

This is a larger hotel situated opposite Blackfriars underground station (Northside of river). 10 minute walk to St Pauls Cathedral and Fleet St. A few bars & restaurants nearby maínly lively during lunchtimes for workers in City area. Hotel rooms are fair size with every amenity - mini bar/hairdriers/clothes press/bath robe. Did not use room service. Reception/foyer/guest relations desk/ all...

Location is as good as it gets for a weekend getaway. Service impeccable and hotel offers everything you might need, without being overly costly. Price to quality ratio hard to beat or even match. Will stay there again for sure on next visit.

The hotel has a nice lobby and bar area, the room I had on the second floor was a good size, complimentary bottled water, decent size mini bar, excellent bed and plenty of storage space. I also had a peaceful sleep as my room was facing the internal atrium. The outside rooms do not have much of a view, having...

The hotel is conveniently located near the Blackfriars tube station. There are some restaurants within walking distance. I had a few issues here, given I have stayed in iHG hotels before. The front desk was cold and disinterested. In fact many, including the concierge, do everything to avoid eye contact in case they have to respond to a question. Expecting...

Choosing a hotel in London is a minefield but we knew we wanted to be in walking distance of Theatres and some attractions so plumped for the Crowne Plaza which also happened to be well priced at £200 per night. Couldn't fault the location, right across the road from Blackfriars Station and just 0.8 miles from the Theatres on good,...

A lovely Hotel whch is ideal if you are going to the Excel or the O2. Rooms are a good size and very clean, there is plenty of car park spaces behind the hotel and there is also a multistorey car park. The bar closes early which can be a problem as there is no where close by to get...

Good business hotel with all of the amenities you would expect. Check in is quite and simple. If your energetic there are city runs shown in the reception upper floor which take in some of the sites. The upper rooms are best and if you get an executive room then lounge access is complimentary. The hotel is opposite Blackfriar tube...

I had a great stay at this property which suited my business needs down to a tee. I had a number of items shipped to the hotel from my international office ahead of my arrival which the hotel stored and had delivered and waiting in my room. Room was comfortable, staff accommodating. Location - excellent, across the road from Blackfriars...

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
