Luckily we only booked for 1 night, the lovely gentleman who checked us in was probably the only good point to the hotel. The tiny shabby rooms with beds that make awful noises when you try and think about moving on them. Both our rooms were "en suite" but it's more a really smelly hole in your bedroom. We all... More

I would like to preface this review by saying that we are currently staying in this hotel and I will be staying here til Sunday, so probably more inconveniences are about to come. We are in London for business and we booked a double room on booking.com. When we arrived, the woman I later discovered to be the owner's wife... More

Worst room I've had in ten years. Top tip: stay somewhere else. Staff didn't know I was coming, didn't seem to care, showed me to a noisy grubby room with no space to swing a mouse let alone a cat. Don't know how they have the cheek to charge people to be honest.

Central London accommodation that is cheap, the hotel is clean and has everything you need in a compact, cute room. Lovely friendly staff and a fresh continental breakfast with amazing coffee. Thank you.

I know this hotel is relatively low priced especially given the location. However, I have paid the same orice in chain hitels such as Holiday Inn Express and Premier Inn and got much better value for money. The stairs to the hotel (abive a pub) are sticky and smell of old food, the carpets smell of carpet cleaner. The room... More

Easy to check in. Lovely continental breakfast included in the price with lots of variety. Booked the roof terrace room with superb views across London. Brilliant location, right in the heart of Portobello market so everything is on the doorstep. Perhaps a little shabby around the edges but it's easy to overlook.

We loved being in the middle of Portobello Road and the hotel is very cute. Above a bar/ restaurant, where Bill Clinton forgot to pay. Seems to have many stories to tell. Walking up the stairs many black and white pictures remind of the sex, drugs and Rock n' Roll era. The room was small, the bathroom even smaller, but... More

very nice stay, pleasant staff, and what a treat to wake up in quiet Portobello road outside market day. The staff are super friendly and let us check out late, kept our luggage all day and had a crib ready in the 4 pillar room for the baby.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
