It’s the second time I stay in this hotel, but the first time with family and with the intention to play tourist in London. While I liked the price during booking, I was a bit afraid it was going to be too far from central London to make things easy. But in reality, the distance is nice too. The hotel is easily reachable both using the DLR and the Elizabeth line and for most locations, this was a great start. When there were problems with some central tube lines, it was even an advantage as we would circumvent some of the trouble spots. And to be honest, after a day in London, it’s nice to end up at a place where you can walk outside along the water and have less noise to deal with. Be aware that it’s a BIG hotel, and that this can be visible at breakfast. Luckily they’re well organized to deal with it, and their staff is quite accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is a standard Novotel breakfast by the way - nice selection of warm and cold items and quite nice tasting. The rooms are nicely decorated and modern - as is all of this hotel. So if you’re OK taking the tube (and you almost have to in London), I thought this was a great hotel to explore London. So don’t be discouraged too much by the distance on the map.…
It was out first time at this hotel. Great location ear O2 and Elizabeth line. The hotel is excellent for this price. You definitely get more than you pay. We had breakfast and Dinner every day it was really great. The menu is clear and not that big but everybody will find enough. The rooms are modern and clean. A big thank you to all staff members, we got great and very friendly service from #Sara, #Saif and #Jake
Third time stayed at this Novotel - overall a good trip. Well positioned for excel / O2 etc and Elizabethan line into central London Hotel - generally good except for breakfast - which was as bad as I have ever had at a hotel. Absolutely terrible on first morning - restaurant completely overwhelmed with far too many people - items of food running out on the buffet - no eggs no pastries coffee machines out of milk and coffee. Loads of people milling around buffet hoping for replenishment Apparently the Ibis next door had a problem (dishwasher broken) so everyone was sent to Novotel for breakfast / so causing absolute overload in Novotel restaurant. Whilst I can sympathise with the people staying at the Ibis - this simply meant that those of us who had paid a little more to stay at the Novotel - got really poor service for breakfast that morning. Simply not good enough especially given cost of the breakfast. Complained on leaving - staff apologies but but doesn’t really make up for experience and no recompense offered. Hoping next time will be better or will try Crowne Plaza going forward…
The staff at this hotel were very accommodating for after we were placed here after a breakdown. All the staff were always friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is very nice in a lovely location right in the docks. Want to give an extra thank you to Audrie in the restaurant for always being welcoming and going out of her way to help us.
Me and my mum stayed for four nights at Novotel London Excel and it was great. When we arrived, the room planned for us was not ready yet, so the reception specially rebooked the room so that we could get into the room right away. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. The staff was very kind. Espacially Audri was very helpful and friendly when it came to my glutenfree breakfast. She was always in a good mood and spread positive energy. All in all, I recommend a stay at the Novotel London Excel.
It’s a very nice hotel in a new neighborhood of London. You can reach the center of London easily if you use the Elizabeth line. Nice, tidy and comfortable rooms and a good view from the upper deck. Breakfast buffet with all you can imagine. Thanks to Reza, Fellini and the rest of the staff for lovely stay. We will come back!
I've stayed here a few times over the years and was a little disappointed this time. I would like to start by saying I will go back again as it was one dissapointing experience out of multiples but feel the need to be honest. I stayed here during the forty degree heat wave and the staff handled it very well. Aircon was constantly running and ice water was handed out freely without need for request. The cleanliness is where I had trouble. My room was not once vacuumed, supplies were not replaced such as milk for tea and lack of toilet paper. However the biggest issue was a clean towel which was left in the bathroom had broken glass in it. We did not break any glass so it came to us as a 'clean' towel. Unfortunately I found the broken glass by standing on it and cutting my foot. Upon return to a "clean" room that evening I then found small pieces of broken glass on the carpet. Housekeeping definitely needs to be stepped up or have a complete overhaul. I don't need my bed made everyday but I do expect a clean room and it seems the opposites were focused on. Back to a positive the staff were friendly and helpul. The deck was great to sit out on in the evening and the location is perfect. …

We had a great family holiday at the hotel recently. The staff were friendly and provided great service throughout. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and the menu very tasty. There are lots of things to do around the hotel and lots of nice restaurants and good amenities in the area. Great location for commuting to London.
We had a fantastic family holiday in Novotel London. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic, making us feel relaxed after our busy days in London. The location is great, quiet and easy to get to the city centre. There are lots of surprises around, like a little beach, water sports and really nice restaurants. Though staying to eat in the hotel restaurant was the way to go for us, superb food and service. Highly recommended.
