The staff is very friendly - especially at the front desk. However the hotel is a dump. Not 5 star at all. It’s dated, and desperate for a remodel. the carpets are very very dirty and stained, the bedspreads are old and faded; the window has to be propped open with a book or something similar. The bathroom has no vent or fan so gets super hot and stuffy. The breakfast is below average and the service was very slow - it took a long time to get a coffee or eggs. The buffet is okay, but cheap boxed cereals and so-so pastries. The option to cut your own bread was ver unappealing during covid times. Small details such as not changing linens (we were there 6 nights), forgetting to give us fresh towels, empty containers of toiletries and even an empty box for amenities like q-tips, made the stay more like a 2 star hotel. I also had a hassle with the reservation - but they were able to correct it when I called. The hotel is close to a major tube line, quiet and easy to get a cab. Though not central - it’s very easy to get everywhere and away from the noise and hubbub, which is nice & quiet. They really shouldn’t be charging these prices. They need to close down and renovate. This would give them a chance to charge more, but right now it’s a dumpy hotel in a convenient (though not central) location and very overpriced for the experience. I could have paid less for a likely nicer 3-star.

We’ve just checked in to the hotel at 3:30pm and our room wasn’t available yet. We then got allocated a room that didn’t have air conditioning. When I asked why and how that can be amended the lady on reception said she can get me another room in 30-40 mins or give me a refund. When I said it’s too late to find another hotel, she shrugged her shoulders. Bare in mind it’s 4 now - 2 hours after check in time and we have to be at the work do for 6pm giving us only 1 hour to get ready. They were not very helpful with my issue and didn’t seem like they wanted to help! I certainly expected so much more and better from this hotel! I found it ridiculous that for £350 a night they can’t tailor to simple customer needs that Travelodge could have done for a lot cheaper! I am not happy and on this basis I wouldn’t recommend.

I have given an excellent rating, due to the fact that I received overall great welcome, from when I arrived at The Bentley Hotel reception I was greeted politely, asked to take a seat while my therapist, named Melissa was informed of my arrival. A guest services representative carried my sport bag and escorted me to the lower ground level Spa. Melissa gave me a warm welcome, and showed me around the facility, and changing room so that I could put away my belongings safely. I was clearly given a recap of the time to do each part of my Spa treatment. I had enough time to use the gym for half hour, then shower and proceed to the Hamam steam room. The special olive soap and glove was ready to use inside, and this session was timed for 30 minutes. The rest area had a lovely spa style chaise longue lounger to cool off; Jugs of iced water provided to help cool down. The Hamam scrub treatment was followed by a lovely therapeutic massage with oils. Melissa is very experienced and helped relief build up of tension knots. The ambiance was also lovely, with scent of vaporising essential oils and candles. Afterwards, I could then shower and use the sauna within the changing room. What a great relaxation and relief! I would definitely recommend Le Kalon Spa, and hope to visit again. Thanks Adara

Where do I begin…the first room they gave us was beyond dreadful, the A/C was broken and the mattress was hard as the floor! Second room wasn’t any better. They put us on the 7th floor, which is a smoking floor(needless to say, we aren’t smokers), the carpet was stained, the walls were stained, nothing in the mini bar. We called for room service, and they said we have ham sandwiches or we will give you a voucher for a pizza but the voucher will not cover the entire meal!!! The worst part of the hotel is the deception of marketing, no bars, no afternoon tea, no social hour. Other people staying there were complaining too! They charged my credit card two times for the stay. It took me calling 5 times, and my account still isn’t corrected. After speaking to the general manager about all the issues of poor service, quality of rooms, deceptive advertising he simply said, I can’t compensate you at all, except if you stay here in the future I can give you a 10% discount. I wouldn’t stay there again if they offered me a free room! My advise to anyone thinking about this hotel….don’t do it.

Breakfast was dreadful. Very Very poor staff, appalling service. Food of poor quality toast burnt, had to ask for items that weren’t brought. Even had to go and shout hello in the kitchen to get any service. Had been on numerous occasions previously. I will never go back. Both mornings were the same for breakfast never had such a poor experience for a 5 star hotel. Customer service was zero. Other guests were complaining

Staying at the Bentley hotel at Harrington Gardens in Londen was a truly comfortable and heartwarming experience. Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, quiet neighbourhood while very centrally located, but above all the staff members who were ALL friendly and knowledgeable and always looking for a solution to help you. Special thanks to Rinkell (who is disguised as the trainee - but with a knowledge and charm that she could be the manager) , Norbert, Alex and Ovi. (And then I still didn’t mention the in-house Spa that is really recharging you..) We are looking forward to visit The Bentley Hotel another time in the future !

Honestly, I have never encountered such a disgusting 5* hotel. It genuinely should be 2* or 3*. Afternoon tea was so poor it was unbelievable. Rock hard desserts which we could not even touch. It was like the cakes and deserts were in the fridge for days on end and finally served. We order a ‘platter of pizza’ too and we got a round rock hard pizza which my daughter could not even eat. It was a hard old base and ketchup snd cheese sprinkled over. Even sent an email of complaint to the hotel the day we had tea and no one had the decency to even respond. Surfaces were filthy and dirty. Very deceptive. Photos absolutely do not depict the true image and cleanliness of the hotel once you enter it. Stains, marks everywhere! We clearly booked afternoon tea and were served afternoon tea and the waitress tried to charge us for the tea. Had to question why I was being charged for tea….! Beyond words to even describe such disappointment.

I must say I was a bit worried about what I’d find after reading recent reviews. However, Im relieved to say we had an amazing stay. The staff at the Bentley were very helpful and attentive and gave us a free upgrade on our room. The room was absolutely beautiful, lovely comfy bed and pillows. Possibly the best nights sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel. Lovely bath and shower in the bathroom. If I was going to be truly picky there were a few minor scuffs to the paintwork but you’d have to be looking for a fault. Air condition in the room was an added bonus. We felt the hotel was worthy of its 5 start status and with rooms around £300 per night much more reasonable than some of the bigger named 5 star hotels where absolute perfection (ie no scuffs on paintwork) is guaranteed. The only thing that let the hotel down was its breakfast, which wasn’t great. With so many beautiful cafes in the area we’ll definitely be heading out for breakfast next time we stay but we won’t put that off us coming back.

This may have been a 5* previously, I do not know, but my husband and I stayed for a night and where left disappointed. Room was lovley but seriously outdated. Location is good Room was not cleaned properly. Breakfast choice of; mini croissants, bacon, sausages and eggs any style, served with toast. Definitely not 5* Asked for dental hygiene kit, was never delivered to the room.
