Quiet rooms, well located near DLR. Great location with walking path and nice views over water. Excellent breakfast. I had to change my pre-paid reservation and they were very accommodating and fair.
We stayed here a few years ago and were blown away by the hotel and it's wonderful staff. Ever since it's been super pricey so have found more affordable accommodation however this visit was extremely good value for money and we didn't hesitate in booking. The beds were exceptionally comfy and together with the air-conditioning and blackout curtains, we all slept very well. The breakfast was first class and the staff were all very attentive. The food in the bar was incredible too which we'd been a little unsure of due to reviews however it was far from "ding meal" standards. Everything was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and so reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the cleanliness was to a very high standard. We asked for an extra hour on top of our checkout time and this was given without a problem. The area itself is very quiet and for our aviation mad son, the occasional low flying aircraft was a dream. I should add that you don't hear any noise in the rooms. The airport is a very short walk away so this hotel, with its free parking, would be an ideal location for those using it. We'd like to send all the staff a very big thank for making our mini break so amazing!…
Stayed here whilst the Formula E was racing nearby. Pleasant hotel, well run, clean with a nice bar and restaurant. Came by DLR train rather than drive and park, easier than I thought. Only issue was they gave me a disabled room without asking, which I didn't need or want.
awkward to get to on foot get off dlr at royal quays ,5min walk ,hotel does not have windows that open ,its a airport hotel ,special thanks to joshua serving in the bar and at breakfast ,nothing to much trouble for this gentleman a credit to this hotel, hotel is modern and the prices are reasonable.
1 night stay for the formula E - perfect location, 15 mins from bank on the DLR. rooms clean, big showers, comfy bed and nice and quite. A good nights sleep until the planes started at 6am - very close to the airport. Nice bar area, good food and drink Breakfast was really good considering it was a buffet, food was all hot and fresh. Really enjoyed it!
The views of this hotel really enticed me and so I decided to book it as a birthday get away. When I checked in the staff were welcoming and professional. I was a given a warm cookie on arrival which was an excellent touch. The hotel was clean and easy on the eye. I booked the Queen executive room with balcony and it was beautiful ! The view from the balcony was stunning only downfall was no balcony furniture but I read that in the reviews before my stay so expected it. The room was really spacious and clean. I ordered room service and the food was delicious and hot. I had an amazing time and would stay again. The pictures are views from the balcony at night/day warm cookie and meal from room service. Only negative was that I could not control the AC it kept going back to previous temperature every time I changed it…
The hotel was very conveniently situated. The facilities were fine . The restaurant was nice. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great stay. We’d stay there again . The only issue was the absence of a disabled access ramp at the main entrance ( probably due to some works ) . An electric vehicle charging point would be nice . The nearest was the Hampton across the road
Do not trust the hotel room map. It is incorrect. There is no bigger room, 442 749 747 are all small room. The floor map in app on phone gives wrong information. It is standard business hotel, don't expect too much.
We stayed for one night as we were visiting London to go to the theatre. Easy parking and a short walk to the DLR, which is very convenient. Check in was simple and we were given hot cookies - which is a lovely touch. The room was clean, comfy bed (with lovely pillows!) and had a great view out towards City airport. We had breakfast the next morning which had a nice amount of variety and was tasty. The service we received was great and the manager is a very nice man, who went above and beyond for us. We would happily stay here again and will be back soon, I am sure!
This is one of many hotels around the Excel centre. It is around 7-10 minute walk to the Excel from the hotel, and the Prince Regent underground station is a couple of minutes further. The walk is in the open and there are stairs when you get to the Excel. The hotel was clean. This is not a top Hilton and in reality it could be anywhere. The major issue with this hotel is its location, in that there are no shops or restaurants in the area. If staying near the Excel is important you have additional options which are: a) The Aloft hotel is 10 metres from the Excel entrance b) The hotels at the other end of the Excel (West entrance) are located in a more attractive area with restaurants and shops, plus the majority are nearer to the Excel entrance.
