Found this little gem in Hostelworld as it was the least expensive in the city. We original intended to stay for only 1 night.m, but after falling in love with the location and the environment we decided to stay 3 nights. The average nightly rate ($20). The location is in the middle of everything and the breakfast is actually good!!... More

Fantastic hostel, amazing location walking distance from two subways, right near borough market and across the road from a supermarket. Hostel is very clean, I was in a 22 room dorm it was very large and spacious. Very social hostel. Bathrooms were good and clean. Staff were very helpful I would stay here again!

A great place to stay! The all female dorms of London Bridge are in a private section (requiring key card access) of the other St. Christophers hostel, so whilst there are great common areas for all, there are private dorms and bathrooms for females. Super clean, great facilities, and great to have a hairdryer and towels for use. You're also... More

The recepcionist was pretty cool and helped us a lot looking for places to go. We shared a room with some people and they were very friendly. If you're a big group it's a good place to stay all together and have fun.

Great atmosphere, lots of fun. Our pub crawl was led by this cool kiwi Sam who was a boss. All around just a great time and everybody who wants to have fun should stay here. The shower pressure is also great. Cum in your hair after a long night of bunkbed sex? These showers will get it right out!

The hostel is big and full of people, which is good if you are alone or with friends and want to socialize. But bathrooms aren't clean and the hallways smells. They also tend to change your room in the middle of your stay.

It was a bit far from where I needed to be, but when I got there I realised that this was the place for me! I arrived to cheery, helpful staff and a raucous night of karaoke. Everyone was having a great time and the staff got involved. They sang, they danced on the counter and they poured free shots... More

I spent 4 nights at St. Christopher and me and my friends we were quite satisfied. London Bridge and tube station are just 5 minutes away Huge 8 dorms bed and clean. Bathrooms are not the most comfortable. However the breakfast is free and constantly restocked. Wifi connection works only at the reception. Staff really nice and helpful. Good fare... More

It's a good hostel really. The beds are comfortable, and the dorms are quiet even though there's a bar downstairs with lot's of people almost every night. There is a nice chill-out room with a guitar and some nice sofas. There are some books to read and a fussball -table. Free laundry is great and it's something you can't find... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
