Stayed for one night and very warm as no air con. But still enjoyed the stay as staff very good and a great breakfast. The room was very clean save the a small amount of mold around the bath. The food in the bar was good but it was a pizza for 2 people, a generous portion the bar staff... More

I have stayed here a few times and love it! The hotel is converted from the old Royal Navy hospital. It's in the heart of Greenwich right next to the University. Folks are mixed tourists, residents and students. My GF and I walked through Greenwich even during the night and felt safe You are within walking minutes of the tube... More

Excellent location within easy walking distance of everything in Greenwich maritime area. Only stayed a night but staff were great and helped with a couple of queries we had regarding some tourist destinations. Reasonable value as well for a good London hotel. Although close to everything there was no loud street noise that caused any disturbance even though we had... More

This hotel is wonderfully situtated right next to the park. First the good things - the staff are professional, efficient, the parking is very reasonable given where it is and the breakfast is quite good. The rooms are ok but crucially lack air conditioning which is really problematic if it is hot as the windows only open a very small... More

Dear jfo1985, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us as much as we would have hoped. As we are a Grade 1 listed building, the bedrooms are based on this and could never compete with American standards, as you mentioned. We are starting off on the back foot here. I am... More

This hotel is perfectly located for all the attractions of Greenwich. It is within walking distance of the train station and river bus terminus so provides for easy access. The food is good and the staff are really friendly. The rooms are small, clean and functional. One of the lifts was out of order which caused some congestion and for... More

Dear LondonSunseeker22, Thank you for your review and kind feedback. I am sorry for the broken down lift, as we could not get the broken safety part over within the day. This was a one-off but it sadly happened on a hot day too. All is back to working order and even the weather is kinder by now, too. I... More

Spent a great couple of nights at this hotel. It's in a super location right in the centre of beautiful Greenwich. Hotel was good value, very comfortable with great staff. Room was a good size, light and airy with ample space for storage. As has been mentioned in previous reviews there is no air conditioning but there was a fan... More

Two minutes from the Cutty Sark, at the foot of the hill leading to the Royal Observatory, this hotel is perfectly sited for enjoying all that Greenwich has to offer, and it is on the bus route to Eltham Palace. The hotel is a calm oasis with a delightfully green garden. It is well managed with helpful and responsive staff.... More

I have stayed here before and is my favorite hotel now for visiting London. Its not in the center and its quiet enough that you can sleep with the windows open and not be disturbed by traffic. Its easy to get into the city - Bank station is just about 30 minutes using the DLR. The staff are great -... More

Location fantastic but... Rooms indescribably too hot. No aircon; a few fans are available. Furniture utilitarian. Furnishings minimal. Corridors smelly. Decor tired. Don't expect luxury. More like an institution. Just about bearable if you spend most of your time outside enjoying Greenwich.

I stayed here on a warm evening in June and had a room on the top floor (4th). There is no aircon and the only way to cool the room was to open the sash window which drops down somewhat. It was impossible to cool the room and I hardly slept. With the window open you are aware of the... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
