We really enjoyed our stay in London, Victoria and liked this hotel. Very nice and friendly stuff. Breakfast better than expected. We even forgot an iPhone in the hotel and they promised to post it. We recommend this hotel if you want a convenient hotel with reasonable price.

We stayed here for one night on a recent trip to London. The location was excellent - just around the corner from the Victoria coach station and underground station (we utilized both). The room itself was small but serviceable. The host, Mark, was wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and he cooks a mean full English breakfast!

We stayed three nights at Lynton B&B and loved it! Very friendly owner, got to hear him singing while making breakfast ;) The room had everything we needed and it was cleaned every day. The location was great: a few minutes walk from the Victoria Station and not so long distance to the River Thames also. We can highly recommend...

There are a lot of positives here. The location is one of the smartest areas in London and very safe (normal rules of being streetwise and sensible of course still apply). It is managed and owned by genuine down to earth Londoners, and you feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated as a guest. Sadly such hotels will soon become a thing...

We had a one night stay at The Lynton whilst attending a rugby event in London. We got it at the great price of just £80 for a twin room through Expedia. The main thing to say about The Lynton is the location - it is in the heart of Belgravia and right in the middle of London within easy...

A very successful family-run hotel in Central London. Mark the owner is friendly, amiable and sociable with lots of London anecdotes to share. Mark told me this 14-room Victorian house was typical affordable residence for working class families in Postwar London. We stayed at Room 5 - a family room for three beds with the luxury of a balcony looking...

Firstly, our trip started out with us needing to arrive a day early due to a winter storm coming into Chicago. Simon and Mark were able to accommodate us at the last minute so we wouldn't have to stay someplace for one day and move. They let us drop of our luggage early morning and moved them into our room...

This is a lovely area to stay at. It's 2 blocks from Victoria Station and Ebury is a brightly lit street. Marc and Simon are lovely hosts. If you can, get an ensuite, but sharing a bathroom isn't bad and the breakfast is divine. It's walking distance one way to Buckingham Palace and the other way to Knightsbridge and Harrod's.

Thank you for your review both me and Simon are happy that you liked the breakfast; your correct about our location, it is sometimes very difficult to explain how central we are to a lot of famous landmarks and locations. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

The Victoria/Pimlico area is the best neighborhood to stay in when visiting London. The Lynton Hotel is perfectly located, rooms are a bit run down with "unusual" bathroom situations--our room had what seemed like a trailer insert combo with the toilet practically in the shower--but you didn't come to London to stay in your hotel room so who cares? Mark...

The Lynton is more or less what I think of when I think of mid-range British B&Bs. The building is a bit run down and the rooms are very basic if serviceable. Simon, the host, is a gregarious fellow, quite friendly and jolly, and he serves up a wickedly good full English breakfast. Location is excellent for Pimlico and the...

Thank you for taking time to write your review. You are correct we do provide basic accommodation in a very central location, the building is old built in around 1825 so was not really designed for modern ideas of living. You are also correct advising others to use alternative underground stations close to Victory [ Sloane square for example]. The...

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Lynton B&B Hotel is a small friendly centrally positioned bed and breakfast in the centre of London, sandwiched between the areas of Belgravia, Westminster (home to the Houses of Parliament ) and Pimilico, a very safe neighbourhood. The West End, Soho, Vauxhall Cross area, Oxford Street with its shops and most of London’s tourist attractions are all nearby. Within our vicinity you will find pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, post office and ATMs just to make your stay easier. The location is also a transport hub with Victoria offering the underground, main line trains, and coaches and of course is a terminus for many of London’s famous red buses. Gatwick Airport is just 35 minutes away with the Gatwick express and all of London’s major airports can be reached by coach or tube. We offer basic amenities; our rooms are simple, small and clean. Most rooms have small en-suite facilities, safes and a few rooms share facilities on the staircase. Each room has digital television just in case you become bored with visiting all that London has to offer, kettle, tea and coffee and we can provide hairdryers and irons on request. We also serve a full English breakfast and offer free WIFI. The hotel is run by me and my brother Simon, both born within 10 minutes from our location. ... more   less
