The staff went overboard to help us with our luggage. When we discovered we had the wrong adapter, staff brought the correct one to our room. We were only there two nights and could have made easy connections to the tube, but having an early excursion at Victoria Station, we decided taxi was best option. Staff assisted us with our luggage when leaving for Heathrow. Many restaurants in the area, though some close early. Also small grocery right across the street. Chelsea is not far from main London connections and easy access.

As a Chelsea fan, we stayed as a 50th birthday treat. We were checked in 3 hours earlier than the usual time and advised to let the receptionist know when we were going out so they could put a gift in the room. On our return I found a lovely note and a boxed tumbler glass with the CFC badge emblazoned on it. Such a nice gesture. We paid for breakfast for the 2 night stay on our arrival and it was first class with table service and constant attention by the restaurant staff. Highly recommended we will definitely stay here again First class

I visited the hotel bar on 3rd Sept (a match day) to purchase a small bottle of Coors to be served in a plastic beaker & it was literally ‘thrown’ into the beaker! I ended up with the equivalent of an ice cream sundae which to get to the liquid I had to get past the foam. For goodness sake, it’s not difficult, tilt the ‘glass’ pour it slowly down the side of the ‘glass’ straightening up as the bottle empties. And I had the privilege of paying £5.78, I wasn’t served at the table I actually ordered at the bar, it was fairly quiet when I arrived. I want to say some years ago I used to be a regular staying at the hotel on a monthly basis across approx four years re my work plus odd additional stays & could often find a reasonable rate & never found cause to complain but nowadays looking at the rates I could never afford to stay & I’m not referring to match days which I know will be at a premium.

Booked in for 2 days here as a weekend couple's break. Booked a Club room. The first room we were given, the toilet hadn't been cleaned at all and was very messy. They moved us into another room, but the air conditioning didn't work. Also the toilet overflow was leaking slowly but steadily and slightly flooded the bathroom floor. In addition the toilet flushes didn't really work in either room. When we mentioned about the air conditioning, they said they'd send someone round but no-one had come within 45 mins and we needed to head out for the day. It didn't seem to be fixed when we had come back. It's a lovely place, and with nice staff. BUT the place doesn't seem to be well enough maintained from my experience. Shame - if it wasn't for those issues, it would have been a lovely stay in a lovely place.

been there with a group of tourists for 4 days in London, stayed 3 nights, and luckily had no soccer game since the football stadium is just beneath the hotel. the rooms are nice but have a lack of air and if you open a window, you might get the rain coming inside. we were on the 7th floor, the highest one, and got a bit of rain from the open window. Unfortunately had to leave, but surely I'll be back there as soon as I go back to this lovely city, when there will be a good game.

I've been trying so hard to give this place a second/third/fourth chance but can no longer ignore the multiple issues I've had thus far on my six night stay. I chose this hotel based on the location and positive reviews. I'd read about what a warm welcome many received at check-in. This was definitely NOT the case for us. My family checked in the first night with two rooms, one for a single night and another for six nights (with breakfast package). The gentleman at the reception could not have been less personable if he'd tried. But fine, whatever, not a big deal. Then our stay began and it was all downhill from there. But here are the positives: Great location if you need to be in the Chelsea area as we did Nice and convenient breakfast with many options Fun on-site restaurant/bar Frankie's with warm and personable employees Decent enough room,no real complaints other than those to be listed below Now for the bad news. The first night we arrived (which coincided with a heat wave), the AC in our room was not working at full capacity. You could hear it running and there was some cool air blowing but definitely not at full potential. We all woke up (in both rooms) drenched in sweat. Then we noticed that our toilet was not functioning properly either in the room we'd be staying in all week. I contacted the front desk and an engineer stopped by and admitted that out room was warm but condescendingly stated nothing was wrong and that the toilet was also working properly. Keep in mind that we had to flush it 3-4 times for any hope of a small strip of toilet paper going down. But we gave it another day and hoped for the best. The next morning I complained again after another hot night and miraculously the AC problem was fixed by that evening. The toilet was still an issue so I had to complain yet again.

Dear travelfar78746, Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience. I am sorry for the shortfalls in service which I have addressed with the team to ensure service consistency. I also take this opportunity to apologize for the air-condition in your room, during the heat wave week. The unusual heat did put a strain in our fan coil system, as the external water was too hot for the units to cool. As a result the system did not put out the desired chilled air. Please be rest assured that was an unusual occurrence that possessed as a challenge in our air con system. I hope you will treat this as a one off and choose to stay with us once again. kind regards, Aflal Jabir Operations Manager

Very welcoming and always prepared to help and assist. This is an ideal hotel for visitors in the nice area of Chelsea not just for the proximity to the Chelsea FC Stadium but also for visiting iconic places in London. The service was excellent and staff members always ready to go the extra mile. The Operations Manager, Mr Aflal Jabir was always available and would do anything to make the stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Very dated and basic now, it is normally good and cheap for a quick solo stay as long as you are aware of what you are getting, however this time I stayed in room 1408 and the “white noise” from some form of nearby generator was absolutely unbearable, headache inducing. Really badly in need of a total upgrade now, there are better hotels in the area

Booked the hotel based on recommendations - sadly we had to leave a night early due to stress and incompetence. The you should do that if you shrink it and it’s because I app Vasilieva long leg fragment 9528 you gotta be there by train every morning so we got to get up at 7:15 showered washed fed school bus switch on what what’s up buddy we got to Millenium was closed, Copthornes was open - this isn’t the one shown on Expedia - so has been mis-sold in my opinion but it doesn’t really matter as just somewhere to sleep. BUT Lev and Cassandra on reception was absolutely flawless - went out of their way on every level. They represented M&C fantastically. Sadly some of the other staff were willing to argue and blame myself, my partner and my children. After Lev and a technician came to rework the keys/locks on BOTH rooms - they agreed there was a fault beyond their control. Sadly the Copthorne hotel was so out dated - in 48hrs I visited reception 18 times for key cards (2rooms) that ‘kept turning off’ - with 3 kids over 2 rooms it became very inconvenient. The food Menus states 1 price - but bar charged another. Food and Drink - fantastic just over priced. Our Shower curtain was ridiculously poor quality (4* hotels should be screens). Then one half of the bed collapsed on casters (it’s 2022 casters) and crushed my toe. (Accidents happen). Health Spa - closed down - due to covid and war in Ukraine and the Abramovich connection - makes no sense - surely the takeover should’ve incorporated this part of the hotwrk and facilities. Offered 20% off food and drinks through our Expedia booking - yet the hotel refused to honour. Free parking offered - Hotel refused to honour. Shame that it could’ve been so much better if the hotel was up to the standards of Chelsea and Chelsea FC. Wouldn’t visit again and certainly wouldn’t recommend under the circumstances. The price for 4* certainly isn’t representative to what the end user (Us) receives for their money - realistically this is 2* Blackpool level not 4* Chelsea. Regards JG
