I chose this hotel due to its location (very close to Victoria station - underground, bus and trains are close by), price (London can be very expensive) and based on reviews. I took a single room and was very happy with every part of the...More
The staff were helpful when my travel plans changed & the hotel is not even 5 minutes walk to the train & bus stations and numerous shops & restaurants. However, the rooms are very small, the size of a closet, and the beds very uncomfortable....More
It's in a great spot Hamilton, Wicked, Buckingham Palace or anything in Victoria/Pimlico. It was clean, staff were nice, reception had a free hot drink machine that made a mean hot chocolate.
Our room was a bit tiny! We were in 402 and looking at...More
Stayed here five nights and have found the hotel quite satisfactory. The single room is the size of a shoebox but that's ok as it's toasty warm. There is air conditioning for warm weather too. It's relatively quiet but the railway can be heard. This...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

St. George's Tavern has good food. I took my 15 year old granddaughter there three times during our week staying at the Comfort Inn. Just go around the corner to the left and walk up High Street to the corner. Go downstairs to eat. The bar is crowded and noisy on the main floor. There are several convenience stores on Buckingham Palace Road on the way to Victoria Station.

I stayed in a room across the street from the lobby - part of the hotel. Didn't experience any train noise. St. George's Tavern has good food. Very near the hotel around the corner and up the street. Go downstairs to eat - it's noisy and crowded on the ground floor at the bar. My granddaughter and I had dinner there three times in our five days in London. It's that good.

Have had no experience of requesting a room on a higher floor, so can't say on that point. We had a basement room in the main building which was fine, but absolutely no view. Used the hotel as an excellent base during our stay, it was really conveniently situated for us. Il Posto, Italian restaurant, about 10 mins walk away was fantastic.
