Despite some of the reviews you might read, this is a good spot to base yourself for a trip to London. It is moments away from the Victoria train and underground. The rooms are not huge, but it is not the US or Canada and you are in Edwardian terrace housing. Although one room we stayed in was quite small,... More

Family of 4 stayed in July for 4 nights. Beds not comfortable. Reading lamps by bed nice. Lack of outlets near beds for charging. Good location close to victoria station. Small bathroom. Requested and received an upper floor room away from tracks and had no noise issues at all. AC worked fine. Nearby restaurant of St Georges tavern had good... More

This was an interesting place... The building was quite old, and the hallways and stairs were not level. That said, there was definite character to the place! Our "Family Room" was very small. There were 2 double (or Queen?) beds, which nearly filled the room. With luggage for 4 people (mom and 3 teens), we were cramped. Otherwise the room... More

Teensy room but I guess that's typical for London. Thin bath towel. No washcloth but I guess that's typical for London. Their hairdryer tripped the breaker. Someone did come right away to fix it though. Requested wake-up call but they forgot. So I'm giving a 3 for service. Light came through the curtains all night long and made sleep difficult... More

I spent one night in room 213. The room is about 50 cm bigger than the bed on three sides, but with a small but well appointed bathroom as well. The window looked out at the railways lines terminating in Victoria Station. Trains went past several times a minute, with a short pause past midnight. The trains were loud in... More

My friends were recommended this hotel by a travel agent. The surrounding area (the street it was on) was quiet and clean. It was 1 block from Buckingham Palace Rd near Victoria Bus Station and walking distance to Buckingham Palace, restaurants, souvenir shops, a mall, transportation, money conversion places etc.. My room was rectangular and small but clean and had... More

Location right near Victoria Station (five minute walk, most of it under cover of Colonade Walk) couldn't be better. And you can easily walk to Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. Victoria Station has great services for travelers - a mall with excellent food court, not just fast food (unlimited choices in that respect) but also some sit down... More

My adult daughter and I rented a room for 5 nights. The service from the front desk was fantastic. We showed up before check in time in the pouring rain. The manager sent and employee to get us towels and offered us a cup of coffee while he found us a room that was ready. The room was small but... More

My grand-daughter is a little drama queen in the nicest possible way!! She is a member of a local drama school, and is very much into musicals, her favourite being Wicked. This trip was a birthday surprise with myself, her mum and and her aunt coming along for the ride. My daughter did the booking and I must say she... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
