Grand Plaza apartments give you the independence and catering flexibility of your own home together with the comfort and service of a 4* hotel. Think of us as your home, but with cleaning, catering, porters and reception staff thrown in. Serviced apartments are the new direction for the hotel industry. They provide a ready made home rather than a ready made room. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen. You choose whether to enjoy your own home cooking or try the Grand Plaza Breakfast or visit one of the myriad of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel (or heat up a takeaway!) Grand Plaza is the largest Hotel/Apartment complex in Bayswater. We won the 2009 award for best serviced apartments in London as a result of votes from the readers of Business Destinations Magazine. We accommodate more people each day (tourist, leisure, romantic and business) than any other Serviced Apartment Hotel in the area.We are located in the centre of the West End overlooking the precise type of garden square which Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts climbed into in the Golden Globe nominated film, Notting Hill! We look forward to providing you with a home in central London.

Lovely stay - very close to everything we needed. With a tube station less than 10mins away at Bayswater underground. Room was very spacious. We had a apartment on the ground floor with a double bed and small bed in the living space with a kitchen that had a hob and microwave, bathroom was a shower and all was very clean. Only down side was the room that had the biggest bed where adult guest would stay had a door frame that looked like it use to lead somewhere. I believe this could of been a laundry room/maybe kitchen as 10pm at night we could hear loud music from that room and what sounded like machines so we believed must of been people working. It only effected me as I’m a light sleeper. Husband said not to worry and slept through it. House keeping came and did a fantastic job. It’s a lovely hotel, staff where very friendly and also held onto our luggage after we departed so we could come back and pick them up after we had finished our morning out. We stayed as husband was doing the London marathon and was a lovely area for us too.

We were family of 6 including children and had booked three rooms. All the facilities are perfect for comfortable stay with utensils, hot plate, microwave, dish washing. We had carried ready to eat meals. The staff is courteous and helpful. Great stay in central place, connected by tube. peekay

We had a beautiful 2 bedroom loft appartment In the Grand Plaza Hyde Park. On the 5th floor. Air conditioned and blissfully quite. Kitchen facilities were ideal. Better than many hotels. Totally loved it. Will definitely return here. Shops close by for essentials. And a few pubs and Restaurants too. Hyde Park is around 5 minutes walk and the same to Bayswater tube station. There were a lot of people around because of the passing of her Majesty the Queen. Sad. But our stay went totally to plan .

he hotel was very central and close to restaurant and supermarkets, coffee shops. Housekeeping was very good, special thanks to them. The hotel had breakfast service but we did not take. 24 hours open reception was excellent, because we checked in late night. They kept our luggages, after check out. An executive studio which was for 4 persons, had mini kitchen, table, fridge, stove, microwave and utensils. The hotel was very close to Bayswater and Queensway tube station, and also Kensington Gardens. Housekeeping and luggage room persons should have better English language. The hotel management should provide them this service.

The hotel location is 5 minutes walk to Tube station (Baywaters) and an aditional 5 minutes the Hide Park. Restaurants of all sorts are on the way to the Tube station, including grossaries and bars. The rooms are spacy and in budget. I asked for air-conditioned room, and was answered that it is not utilized. However, when I got there one of the room had air-condition(real good one) and the other had a hunmidity control device.

Great location close to Bayswater tube and easy to get from Paddington and then around London. Good value for a family, we were essentially a family of 4 adults in 3 double beds. Spacious apartment for an over night stop for a concert at Wembley. Check in was quick and room clean and quiet.

The location is great. Very close to Bayswater and Queensway stations which can take you to many attractions. There are also a good number of restaurants close by. The facilities are decent. While the sofa bed is a bit old, and the rooms are not super new, the apartment is spacious enough. It would have been better to have door stops to prop doors open. The bathroom is clean although the glass door is somewhat insufficient to prevent water from spraying out from the shower onto the floor. Finally, the elevator is slow. Overall, the apartment is serviceable. The staff is quite friendly and helped us book a taxi to Heathrow.

OK so not one to write bad reviews and stayed in many hotels /apartments but this one was particularly bad: Location: No complaints: its fairly central and a 5--10 minute taxi ride from Paddington station, which you'll appreciate if you have 3 kids and heavy luggage. Taxi fare should be between £8-10. Access: Good with 24:7 reception and nice ramp for mobility aids and prams etc Foyer: clearly this is where they spent the money as it's nicely decorated and has a professional look. Only complaint here is the seating was a single 3/4 piece sofa but not much else to complain of. OK so unfortunately this is where I cant think of anything else nice to say Access to room: Very poor. Our room was on the second floor and to get there the lift seemed like an eternity away. It took us a good 5 minutes to get to the lift and with 3 kids and luggage its not easy. The corridors are very narrow and you'll struggle to let oncoming traffic get past you. We nicknamed the corridors 'the swamp' as they are very uneven and the carpets sink in so many random places , pushing a pram you notice the feel of a very uneven road with multiple pot holes just pasted over. The paintwork is in desperate need of repair with dirt marks and scratches no doubt a result of the narrowness. You'll have to battle through multiple narrow self closing doors so a single person with a pram will really struggle. Then there's the smell of fried fish which emanates throughout the ground floor corridor ; perhaps in close vicinity to the kitchen? but if it's not your thing then it really is off-putting. The room: We were a family of 5 ; 2 adults and 3 small children. First thing we noticed was the sauna like heat in the entire flat! The windows dont open more than a couple of inches and there is no AC. This in a heatwave of 36 degrees. The small kitchen featured a sofa bed which was mega uncomfortable and the springs were easily discernible and palpable. Def not sleeping on that one! A large fan was provided which we immediately put to use just to act like a giant hair dryer to alleviate the cooker we were in. The bathroom was nice and clean with a nicely pressurised shower head with the bath. The second and third rooms again were sauna like but had no fan! the beds themselves were comfortable but the rooms were small for maneuverability after the double beds. Service : Very poor. Not the staff themselves but more so lack of facilities and policy. Firstly when you arrive they ask for a £200 deposit?! When asked what for as youve already pre-paid they'll proceed to tell you it was in the T&C's when you accepted the offer on the website. OK so not a biggy I hear you say since you'll get that back at the end right? OK but it's the 'read the small print' attitude which really put me off. Next when we entered our oven and asked for an extra fan to sleep in the extreme heat we were told that no more were available and we had to just cope in the room and come back the following morning to see if any were available. This meant unless you wanted to sweat out your entire circulating blood volume overnight, the only way we survived in this room is that we all (yes all 5 of us ) stayed in one room with the fan on full blast! Even then it was very uncomfortable night and stay for that matter as we stayed 2 nights with the same problem. After that despite all the signs saying the usual ' if you want fresh towels please leave in bath /floor etc' they don't actually change anything! Being with a 1 year old baby you can imagine we threw a few nappy bags and left over food in the provided large bin in the kitchen thinking housekeeping will change. After all the signs are there . So when we arrived back to the inferno after the first day out in London we found the bin had been allowed to fester and no towels had been changed. Smell was atrocious. When we rung the service desk we were told housekeeping happens every 3 days and that we have to empty the bin ourselves outside the hotel! Again wouldn't have minded that much if they told us when we checked in. But I guess it was the small print again. At this point I realised Id have a better stay at Fawlty Towers and regretted choosing this place. Price : OK so I guess in comparison to paying over £1k a night in central London its a much better option but TBF when you're paying in excess of £260 a night youd expect a much better service. My biggest regret was not staying in a better cheaper hotel on the outskirts of London, like Reading/Luton etc and just 20 minute travelling into central for the 2 days. (A 4/5 star Voco in Reading is £140/night). Summary: Def avoid in summer and think very carefully before booking any other season.
