For the money we paid for the family room it was extremely small, hardly had room to move between beds . Staff were very friendly. Location very good for notting hill. Breakfast was good . Building well decorated.
My friend and I stayed at the Princes Square Hotel for 2 nights in October. The hotel is a cute property very close to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and Notting Hill. The property is fairly old, but it was clean, had an elevator, and the room had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops, and also close to a couple of tube stations. The front desk staff were nice and we were allowed to store our luggage under the stairs after we checked out as we were not leaving the city until later that night.
This was a good 3 star hotel. It had everything we needed. A clean room while we toured London. It's also located in a quiet neighbourhood with 2 train stations near by the go to 3 different lines. Restaurants nearby as well.
Firstly there is no way this is a 4 star hotel and I will be contacting the AA about this. I'm sure our room wasn't one they checked and it looked nothing like the photos on their website! Cons: Dribble stained pillows from previous guests Dirty rusty bathroom Extractor fan and bedside light not working Grubby dirty doors Dirty stained carpet Dirty old throw pillows and bed cover Pro: it was near to where we were going out for the night. I was going to speak to the Receptionist when we checked out but she was too busy talking on her mobile!
Not sure who give this hotel a four-star rating because it’s a two-star at best. I am not saying its bad hotel - the location is good, check-in was swift, my room was big enough but pretty worn and tired and the safe and central heating (which was set to full) did not work. For its location, a hundred pound a night represents good value for the but I would not pay anything more because it is simply not worth it.
