Stayed here last weekend .We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples .Firstly they demanded a deposit for keys .We had to go down an alleyway to go to our rooms . The place was tired looking and very basic .The rooms themselves were even worse .The toilets were dirty and I wouldn't take my shoes off in the bedroom or take a shower .The fire alarm detector was hanging off the ceiling and the room itself was unclean and of a very poor standard The other couple were given 1 towel and requested a second one .They never received it. They only true thing in the name is that it is in Acton town I haven't stayed in a place like this since the 1980s.Never again.

Please do not think I am exaggerating when I say I wouldn’t keep animals here. Filthy, unfit for purpose. Riddled with bed bugs. Black mould in bathrooms. All fixtures and fittings broken. Smoke detectors hanging off the ceiling. Awful DO NOT BOOK

We booked a night for a London getaway.
The best thing about it is the location, as it’s literally 3 minutes away from the tube.
The bed sheets and the bathroom were dirty: spots on the duvet cover, hair all over the bathroom.
TV signal barely working, so you don’t get much for the money.
At check in you need to leave a ÂŁ10 deposit, cash only, which is not mentioned anywhere. It was a problem for us, as we had no cash on us at the time at the check in and had to withdraw money on the way back at night.
Couple of food places right around the corner that are open until late.
The place is not bad, but for it’s value, could do a clean paint and some clean sheets, that’s all.

I must emphasise with my job i stay in a lot of hotels around the country, i must point out that this was the worst one ever, the room was very dirty, the bedding was ripped, the lamp had no bulb , the electric socket was not secure to the wall, the table the lamp was on looked like it had been robbed from the local pub as it still had the number on it, i had to walk to a separate building for breakfast, i was told that the bathroom was outside the room and not en suite, but this was used by anybody when they wanted even the staff, again was filthy and the shower and toilet were under a set of stairs which was very cramped, this visit was a total disaster and nothing like the advertised pictures, I will be avoiding this place in the future, I have stayed in far far better hotels for far less money. not recommended at all, but good luck if you decide to stay there, and before i forget as Gillian H said " there was a dirty street lamp in the corner of the toilet ", this is true as its still there !!!!!!

Stayed here with five teenagers on our annual Europe trip. My three children and two friends along with me, the adult "Tour Guide." I have traveled to many places throughout my life and even stayed in a tent in the Sahara so I am tolerant of all accomodations. What we needed was room for 6 people and we did not have that.

Room: We had the King Family room which was supposed to sleep 6 people. It did, but sleep on a bed is all we were able to do. There was no room for even two suitcases let alone 6. We were traveling with carry on size duffles (my rule) so it should not be too difficult to set all of them down. The sheets and towels provided were clean and plentiful.

There was barely enough room to walk between the beds, it was almost as if we were in a train sleeper car and not a hotel. The entire room was full of beds and nothing else. The WC/bathroom with small shower had an inoperable door. It needed to be stuffed with a towel in the door frame to stay closed. The water was never warm and the toilet flushed intermittently.

Heat: The heating in our room was very poor. We actually measured the heat maximum at 64F. We were only here at night sleeping under a sufficient amount of blankets, so I did not complain. Not worth my time as there were no other available rooms.

Food: Breakfast was not too bad. This is Europe, not America and you do not eat a buffet for breakfast. The tea, coffee, bread, and jam were sufficient.

Location: Perfect!! Loved the proximity of the Tube (Picadilly Line) and frequency of trains. We always travel via public transportation and this location is ideally located between London and Heathrow.

This hotel is exceptional value for money, the rooms have plenty space, nice toilet & shower/bath rooms, very nice and clean, beds are so comfortable, clean bedding, clean towels, good fridge, plenty tea, coffee, sugar, milk portions and kettle in rooms, this hotel lies back from a main road & sometimes small amount of noise can be heard but I suffer with insommia and sleep very soundly here. All rooms have good television sets, breakfast is beautiful, cornflakes, toast, eggs, yogurts, jug milk, jug coffee, plenty fruit juice, choice of jams, marmalade, butter, pre-packed cheese slices, plenty to fill up on. The staff make everyone welcome from the minute you arrive and time to leave. I stay here overnight every week for the last six months and love the place,

Acton Town Hotel has it's advantages. It is very close to the Acton Town tube station and inexpensive for a London B&B. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we found that it was not as clean and friendly as it's website promised.
In the reception room we spoke to an unfriendly woman who had earlier assured us on the phone that we would only need our credit card details to pay for the room. We had called ahead from our hometown to ask if we could pay with the card details only and this was said to be possible. When we arrived the woman insisted that we could not do this and was not apologetic at all for the mix up.
When we had paid her in cash out of our limited spending money, we were shown up two flights of stairs to our room.
To say the least, we were shocked at the condition of the double room. The carpet looked as if it had not been hoovered, the lampshade was stained and dusty, the en-suite bathroom was smelly with stains on the toilet seat, a grimy shower cubicle and had spatters on the mirror.
We reported this to the manager, who was friendly at first but as we told him about the problems with the room, he became unfriendly and disinterested to the point of not giving eye-contact. He refused to refund us for that night but said that we could stay and find somewhere else the next day. We declined his offer.
Overall, we were very dissatisfied with Acton Town Hotel and I personally would not recommend it.

Staying at the Acton Town hotel was a BIG mistake. Wish we had read the reviews beforehand. This hotel needs a Fire/Health Inspection.

I gave 1 star because of the location near the station.
Parking was difficult to access.
Reception - unhelpful staff, settee broken.
Room - not clean, yoghurt in the fridge left by previous occupant, thick dust under and around the bed, carpet not clean, window cill thick with dust, bedding creased (was it clean), live spider in the bed, long dark human hairs on the bed (I have short white hair and my husband is bald), large stickers on the window and sticky tape on the frames, bed base repaired with a sheet of gash hardboard with spintered edges.
Room facilities - kettle does not fit under the basin tap (over the filthy plughole), wall sockets are behind the mattress (had to move bed to boil kettle and charge phones), tea/coffee facility was unhygenic with unwrapped teabags.
Bathroom - no plug in the basin, filthy plughole, shower panels stained and filthy, shower tray propped up on dirty pieces of wood.
Eating area - situated in an outside 'room', cold draught through large dirty mesh grill in wall, a foul water pipe which was fixed to the wall runs into an open gully underneath tables, filthy chairs.
Breakfast - cornflakes, cheap yoghurt, bread/toast, smoked cheese slices, boiled eggs first come first served (ran out of eggs and wouldn't buy more).
Fire Risk - fire doors are fixed open despite notice on doors saying 'keep closed'.
Summary of Accommodation - felt dirty all the time we stayed in this hotel. We cringed when we had to get into the bed. Wish we had slept in the car.

Book this hotel for my friends birthday, there was three of us and a triple room is just what we were after, Its very close to the tube station that is about the only plus I can think off. We dropped out bags off the morning and was asked to leave it by the front door , I thought it will be locked up or stored in a room out of sight but when we returned that night around 11 pm the bags were still in the public place were I guess anybody could have had access to it. By now we were very tired and ready for bed. We stayed in room 17, after an hour of chatting and unpacking we wanted to charge our mobiles there were plenty sockets against the wall but hey presto non worked, then we tried the lights above the beds and they did not work either. We rang reception and they said nothing can be done until the morning he did come and have a look but could not find the fault...and the fridge in the room stank and also not working. We though we would make a cup of tea to drown our sorrows upon opening the kettle it smelt horrid like it has not been used in ages. then there was the bathroom , the toilet was almost black inside and has not had a descent clean in years there was black mould in the shower. In the morning we insisted on some sort of refund and we got a whole ÂŁ5 back..what an insult!! All I can say is if you are not fussed and only see it as a bed for the night that is all this is good for.

we booked online and asked for a room with it's own bathroom, that would be the best plan. I suggest if you are concerned that you give the hotel a call and specify that you want a room with a bathroom. Cheers
