I have had a really bad experience with this hotel. As this year has not gone to plan with many of us. Most hotels have gone over and above to accommodate their potential guest that might stay there in the future. But NOT this hotel. Having called them on a number of occasions to sort out the 2 bookings I have. First they wouldn’t give me a refund and when I have tried to get in contact with the manager they are never in. I have emailed them on countless occasions with no response. When I did call one time. A horrid employee called Martain (now night manager) had a shouting match with my legal advisor and then called me to shout at me. He called me again and then proceeded to not give my complaints to the day manager about him then called me a big mouth and hung up. Shame on this hotel for employing someone like this and for giving the hotel industry a bad name.

Myself and 3 others recently stayed for 3 days. This hotel is truly disgusting upon checking out we stripped our beds and found the most disgusting mattresses that we had been sleeping on. Also the staff were very unhelpful when dealing with our complaint I have still not received and E-mail back. We found what we later identified as rat poison behind one of the beds. it was not the cheapest available option for us but the photos on booking.com looked nice so we thought it would be fine they have sister hotels called the pearl and emerald we were allocated rooms in the pearl hotel. Please avoid or at least check your rooms and beds. We are truly disgusted knowing our children and ourselves had been sleeping in this.

The reception is located in another building down the road, so the guests have to walk up and down the street in order to check in and out. Also the breakfast room was in another building. The reception staff was very impolite, even rude. The room design was ridiculous: the only power outlets we on the wall above the bed (could not charge phone of laptop during the night), the main bed had no reading lights, the smaller bed had two lights (one at the foot-end of the bed). The sound insulation was also very poor - could hear all the neighbors clearly. The breakfast was ok, except for the coffee, which was horrible.

There were so many things that we disliked about this property it is unbelievable. Firstly we had to walk 7 doors down to another hotel just to be able to check in for our stay. When we then got back to our hotel and rooms we found that there was absolutely no disabled access to the hotel which significantly hindered a member of our group. Now let me start on the rooms themselves. This hotel is 100% misleading as the rooms have absolutely no resemblance to what is advertised on the website. The hotel is advertised as being a “newly refurbished hotel offering all Ensuite rooms with Italian marble bathrooms with soft lighting, modern chic furnishing and contemporary décor which provides an ambience for relaxation.” However we were met with rooms that were disgusting and in no way “newly refurbished”. The furniture was grubby, worn and battered. Positively appalling, with one of the beds having stains on the pillow. The shower facilities in the room were disgusting and we refused to use them. The shower head was coated in limescale and mould, and all corners of the shower were black with mould. There was no consistency or comfort with the room temperatures with one room absolutely freezing cold and another like stepping foot into an oven. We decided that we would need some extra blankets and pillows for some of the rooms. In order to request these we had to once again go 7 doors down to the other hotel to ask for them. Upon doing this we were met with a staff member just slouching on a sofa who told us “I put the heating on”. We informed him that the one room in particular was still cold and we would like an extra blanket anyway and were told “well the night manager has the key not me so you’ll have to wait and we’ll see what we can do”. This was delivered in the most dismissive way that we held no hope of receiving what we requested. In fact hours later we had to go and re-request the items as they had not been given to us, and then we still only received the pillows and no blankets. Finally, after one of the most uncomfortable sleeps I had ever had in any hotel, we went to try the included breakfast. This was once again located 7 doors down in the other hotel and was abismal. The breakfast consisted of some cereal, eggs or store bought croissants. I would never choose to stay in this establishment again and would highly recommend that people avoid it!!

Absolutely disgusting. I booked a two night stay as we were attending Olympia horse show. I had read average reviews on booking.com however have always had good reliable stays through them. This was not one of them. Arriving we had actually booked the sapphire (the pearls sister hotel and cheaper than the sapphire) and were met with two check in people who were unhelpful and rude. They told us we had to pay for the room even though we had paid through booking.com and after them arguing with us finally agreed that we had. We were then told we were staying at the pearl. The room itself was basic with marked dirty looking bedding and no interior lock on the door. As we were only using the room to sleep in and after a long journey we decided it would do. The following night we returned and to our disgust saw a bed bug in our sheets. The bug had left blood marks over the bedding and knowing how fast they can spread and how hard they are to get rid of we decided to cut our losses and leave a night and day early. We could not inform the hotel as there is no reception nor could we find anyone at the sapphire hotel. We ended up leaving clothes that had not been locked in our cases and spent money and time on another hotel and coach home. We have tried contacting the pearl to complain and spoke to FAIZ who introduced himself as management however would not give us his first or last name referring to himself as FAIZ. This gentleman stated they had looked and not found any bed bugs just our 'rubbish' (referring to our clothing we had abandoned in case of infestation) This gentleman then stated we had to email any complaints to senior management however refused to give us any name, he then became angry and abusive and hung up. This is the worst experience I have had and am disgusted at this hotels customer service. This is a absolute sham of a company. SABA HOTELS were dissolved in MARCH 2019 and now trade under SKR HOTELS AND APARTMENTS LTD. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
