Very basic but clean hotel. We had the quadruple room so 4 of us stayed in centre of London for an affordable prices. Had no complaints, it's just not got the wow factor. Staff very friendly and helpful . We didn't have breakfast in hotel. Parking was easy to find.

Great location as we were heading out on the Euro Star the next day however I would probably prefer to stay at the station than stay here again. We were placed in the basement and it felt like a dungeon. I doubt the room had been updated for over twenty years and it felt and looked dirty. Thankfully the local... More

This hotel is very handy for King's Cross/ St Pancras stations. Very friendly staff. Smallish rooms but separate bathroom and everything you need. Was very hot but used the fan provided and drew back the secondary double glazing window. Wasn't as noisy as I expected. Although no cooked breakfast, the items on offer were perfectly adequate and good value at... More

I booked this last minute as I had an early morning Eurostar to catch. Positives first, very close to Euston and St Pancras, so no taxi required. Very quick to check in and staff on reception pleasant. I was not expecting much, but the rooms very tired and basic, The room doors were very thin and did not feel very... More

We stayed for 3 nights here, and thank goodness no longer... The room was very very old and extremely warm with little circulation. The whole hotel is not air conditioned so there was no relief from the warm days out sightseeing. A small fan was in the room, and we had it on 24hrs but it had little effect. We... More

Cheaper than many hotels in the area, and you get what you pay for. Our room was clean but small and being on the ground floor at the front, it was very noisy on a warm evening when we needed the windows open. et is actually fairly busy.

The room was small but adequate. We've been in worse! The main problem for us was the heat, which necessitated the window being wide open all the time. This caused us a very sleepless night due to the constant traffic, aided by a loose manhole cover which clunked every time a vehicle went over it. The bed, however, was comfy... More

I don't know how guests fair on the other floors but they put us on the first floor, room 33, closest to reception and lift. It was tiny, run down, barely room to put belongings and stains on curtains I can't mention, but the bed is right against the curtains if you get my meaning. Worst if all, we just... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
