I booked a room for my elderly mother and couldn't have been more pleased. Yes, the hotel is simple and housed in a very old building, so expect creaky and uneven floors and a bit of fraying around the edges. But the room was perfect, clean, warm and breakfast was included in the very reasonable room rate. The check-in and... More

We were on the first floor, stayed here as we were catching the early Eurostar. No toiletries other than one small soap, no hair dryer, it did have a kettle with tea and coffee. No trimmings with this accommodation, left too early for breakfast. Convenient but basic budget hotel. Really good pub off the main road called The Boot. 10... More

We stayed here as it was the cheapest hotel nearest to St Pancras, lovely, friendly staff, fantastic location as we could walk to the station, breakfast was lovely and just about the right size, the only negative is, the rooms are ridiculously small, the bathroom was more like a wardrobe, you could literally have a shower whilst sat on the... The positives - very convenient for St Pancras as it's just over the road. At £85 including breakfast it was cheap for London. But why oh why do they not spend a few quid smartening this place up? The bed had an ancient bedspread and blanket. Pillows were ancient, lumpy and flat. The carpet had seen far better days and... More

Nice and helpful staff (reception), Good location. Just 2 min walk to st pancras station. Many restaurants around. Oxford street is only 7 min away by bus. Aggressiv staff in breakfast room. The beds and sheets are not so fresh and it smells a bit.

We stayed here for 4 nights while in London. Very handy to Kings Cross and Pancras Stations. Breakfasts were great although dining room is a little small for size of the establishment. We had a family room which was actually getting pretty tired. Staff were helpful and friendly.

My son and I had a comfortable stay with a lovely host. Very accommodating staff, breakfast was good to start your day. Room as ok as we tended to just sleep and wash as we were gone the rest of the day. Fantastic location.

For people who travelling by Eurostar, its a very good situation, less 5 minutes of St-Pancras International and King Cross Station and simple to find it. If you want to take tube, train or bus, its perfect. Since the MacDonald, you can go to The British Museum, about 15 minutes by walking and around the Hotel, you can find a... More

Where do I begin. Our room: fillthy Wallpaper peeling off the walls. A carpet that looked so out of shape and lumpy it looked like it had been thrown on as a afterthought. A bed with a mattress a few inches thick with a box to sit upon. (With just one pillow each) And this horrible aroma wafting about the... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
