The hotel is small but quite enough for a few days in the city of London, near Euston and St Pancreas train stations but away from traffic and noise. There is a nice English breakfast option, but 2 out of the 3 days we spent there, we had to wait a bit long for a table as the breakfast room... More

Booked this last minute for me, my husband and our adult daughter, we got a family room, I was worried with it being cheap that it would be a fleapit, we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Our room had a double and a single bed, really nice shower room, TV and Tea making facilities, the room was really... More

Convenient hotel to all area's of London. Breakfast was ok. Room and bed a little bit too small. Has the impression of recently been renovated, so very clean and new. No lift so 4 lots of stairs to lug your suitcase up. All in all an average place to stay in London. You get what you pay for.

Booked the day before and was impressed with the room and staff and breakfast was very good. Close to Tube. The only challenge was the room we had was on the top floor so maybe a good workout if you had a case...overall very good

This is now my go-to hotel during my weekly trips to London. Great location - just minutes from St Pancras / Kings Cross and just around the corner from the lovely Bloomsbury area with an excellent selection of pubs, bars and places to eat. The George retains a quaint feel in the main hotel, which suits the area, but is... More

This small hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing in London. It is just two or three blocks from the Russell Square underground station (on the Piccadilly line straight from Heathrow Airport for six pounds) and just a few blocks from the British Museum. My single room was very small, but I didn't need anything the space for anything but sleeping,... More

The George provides great value for your travel dollar. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and courteous. There was no staff at night. Our bathrooms were small, but appeared to be recently and nicely renovated and the taps produced lots of hot water. The small sinks were the subject of great hilarity among our family... More

Very nice, reasonably priced hotel in a fabulous location in Bloosmbury. Close to Russell Square, Euston, and Euston Square stations, so you can get anywhere easily. This is an older hotel, so expect lots of stairs and tiny rooms. My room was a bit bigger than a closet, but the bed was extremely comfortable, so no complaints. It was pleasantly... More

We stayed here in May/June for 12 nights while we saw the sights of London. The George is a great little bed and breakfast located in Bloomsbury. It is but a 10 minute walk to the Russell St. Station and no more than 20 minutes walk to the Euston Station which made going virtually anywhere by tube quick and easy.... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
