Very friendly staff in all areas, lovely building inside and out and set in a very nice location. Lovely quiet streets all around and handy for stations, easily walkable to Victoria, St James Park and Westminster. Couple of very minor issues were sorted out easily too, Only down was that our particular room had a window that only looked onto an internal void space so it barely had natural light. Think that should be shown on listings really as it felt like we were in a box.

Stay here for 2 nights and we were very impressed, to sum it up Good points: Excellent location , 10 mins walk from Victoria Tube station 0.8 miles to Big Ben Quite part of town so no busy road around the hotel lovely clean rooms and super comfy beds Air con that works loads of hot water Drinks for the bar are NOT over priced All in all a very nice hotel which i would definitely use again Minor bad points from our visit. We visited during the final wks of lockdown so breakfast was not self service it was served to you. We had the full english option but on both mornings none of the food was 'hot' and at least half of it was cold...very cold. This might not be the case during normal operation. The food was good quality just too cold. It is not cooked to order but kept warn in serving dishes. If i'd known it was cooked to order it would have been sent back. Don't let this stop you staying there, like i say we would go back and WILL go back - thanks to all the staff. ps: the Negroni cocktail is very very nice ;-)

We have just returned from a one night stay in this hotel booked through Groupon. £195 for early check in, three course meal, overnight Deluxe room and breakfast. Tremendous value for money bearing in mind this hotels location. All the major London landmarks are close by and we even walked as far as Tower Bridge. However......... I booked the hotel two weeks in advance as a surprise for my girlfriend. Not wanting anything to go wrong, I called the night before we were due to arrive to check all was in order. I was told there was no booking in my name and nothing could be done until 9am the next morning. Cue a sleepless night not knowing if the weekend I had planned would be shattered. I was promised a call at 9am but I had to ring at 9:15am to be told all was well and many peoples bookings had “gone missing”. We arrived at around midday as I had paid for early check in, which is 11am, but we were told that our room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm. After explaining I had paid extra for early check in, and proving it to the receptionist, we were told repeatedly that the room wouldn’t be ready unless we paid another £25. Strange that they can do it if they get paid £25 extra but not if you can prove you’ve already paid for it. They offered to store our bags if we wanted to go out and come back later. Luckily we had only travelled an hour so we’re happy to do this. We were then told that the air conditioning in the entire hotel was not working due to a blackout the night before and “was that OK?” What choice do we have? When we arrived back at the hotel at 4:30pm the room was ready. Shamefully, it hadn’t crossed the hotel staffs minds to take our two small bags to the room for us despite the earlier issues, which I thought was poor service. Room 121 is lovely. Spacious, very clean and lovely views over the green Vincent Square. We had a reservation at their restaurant at 8pm and the food was incredible and the service very good. The next morning we went to breakfast. There were no tables ready so we were told to go and wait in reception which is one floor up. We waited 15 minutes, and sensing we had been forgotten, we came back down to see couples that we had seen come in after us seated and waiting for their breakfasts. After being seated we were offered tea and coffee but weren’t supplied teaspoons which we had to ask for. We were informed that our deal included a continental breakfast and not the cooked breakfast so be aware of that if booking through Groupon. The breakfast items we ordered all arrived quickly but the waitress completely forgot the croissants we subsequently ordered so we never got those. Overall this is a lovely hotel in a great location but the customer service is sadly lacking. Could be a great hotel if only for a bit of staff training.

On arrival there was a problem with our booking. We booked through Secret Escapes in February but the hotel had no information regarding our reservation. After giving various reference numbers we were asked to take a seat for 5 minutes while it was rectified. It took 40 minutes. A nice touch would have been to offer a complimentary drink whilst we were waiting! We did however get one of the 2 rooms upgraded so we could be on the same floor as our friends we had booked with. The rooms were very nice, the upgraded room was larger and had 2 double beds although everything else was the same. The next morning when we went for breakfast which we had booked for 9.30am as we were told earlier than that would be busy, when we got to the restaurant we were told there were no tables available and to wait in the lobby for 2 minutes. 35 minutes later the duty manager noticed we were still waiting and found us a table! The breakfast was lovely if not a bit rushed as the restaurant was closing. We have stayed at this hotel before and have another booking in July, it is in a great location, 10 minute walk from Victoria station and a great selection of shops and restaurants. Fingers crossed we will have the great service in July like our first visit last year.

First of all the hotel is in a great location behind the House of Fraser store. This is it's greatest asset. However, general service issues started at check in with a demand for my passport number. I don't carry my passport. This seemed to cause issues for the receptionist, although she offered me an 'upgrade'. The alarm bells started to ring when we had a long walk to the end of the corridor room on floor 3, Room 305 turned out to be 'Room 101' - awkwardly designed and layout, dark with very little view. When trying to locate the hairdryer, the vanity desk drawer was jammed shut so it had not been opened or sanitized. I rang Reception. I did this by guessing the number as there is no information in the room for housekeeping or reception. They offered to move me. The room on offer in Floor 2 was much larger on the second floor and closer to the lift.. (. so much for an upgrade).... Beware the bathrooms, you have to step into the bath to reach the bath towels. The baths are also awkward to get out of because of the fixed shower screen. The rooms do not offer an iron or ironing board, so you have to ring reception... (if you can find the number).... With post lock down, the Hotel offered great value for money but there are some basic hospitality service issues that need to be addressed by someone who might be interested in the customer experience. On reflection, I would not stay for 5 nights again given these issues. I'd like to say thanks to the young man who helped move my luggage and also worked in the bar. If he had also worked in the breakfast room that, might have also been a better service experience.
