Stayed for three nights. A bit overpriced, but that's London for you. Its situated in one the best parts of London. A park right across the street. Its quiet and safe. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. Some of the staff was very friendly, some not so friendly. Don't buy breakfast! Its way overprized and you have to pay 5 pounds extra if you some of the warm dishes. There are plenty of nice little cafés in the area where you can get a good breakfast for half the price. Would I come back? Maybe, IF the prices get a bit lower.
Nice hotel with very considerate staff. The staff really went out of their way to help. This was very noticeable with all the staff. Room was nice and the hotel had a nice front garden. One minor complaint, even though we had paid for a room with breakfast included, we were asked to pay more to have the heated food stuffs included.
Gorgeous charming hotel with modern amenities. We had the executive room with king bed. Outstanding house staff. Incredibly lovely area. Will definitely be back. Had there been a small bar fridge in the room it would have been perfect. Recommending that for future stays!
From our first entry to the hotel until we left all the staff were superb - the best customer service we have received for some time. The central areas were clean and well looked after as were the rooms and all other areas. Staff were attentive and polite, helpful. We recently stayed in a 4* hotel in the New Forest and they could learn a lot from the Wellington Hotel
The food at the hotel was great and wasn't expensive at all the hotel was lovely clean and tidy and the service was brilliant I can't fault the customer service. Reception was great and amazing with every request. I would definitely return here.
This was my first stay at this property which was booked by a work colleague and I was pleasantly surprised. Reception was welcoming and my request for an earky check in (for a small fee) was honoured as was my late check out (no fee). The bedroom was an eccentric shape and was well equipped - although finding the room service menue was hard due toi it being in a drawer which was very stiff (and did not look like a drawer). Nice bathroom with quality toiletries and really good shower. Good linen and towels but no bathrobe - although slippers were provided. Very complicate blinds due to three windows! But good blackout was achieved, Good pillows and sleep quality but I had to urn off the very noisy heating. Room service was quick and reasonably priced depsite a restricted menu. Brealkfast was reasonable in chouce abd variety but arriving fairly late I suffered from congealed eggs and cold bacon. My fault as I'm sure if I had asked I would have ben rovided with a refill.…
PROS: Great location. Clean and comfy rooms. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. CONS: Stingy with the milk and biscuits (not enough milk and biscuits not replaced). Evening meal not good. Room smaller than expected for price paid. Fridge not secured to floor, so kept coming out of cupboard when opened.
Avoid for food. Myself and colleagues were staying next door at The Rochester, but had to eat at the Wellington. There were about 20ish people and the food was nothing worse than dismal. Soup - cold & skin on top, what was meant to be roast beef - cold and gravy had solidified , dessert (even after asking to be hot) - cold & caramelised sticky toffee pudding sauce. Bar was almost unworkable as well. Didn’t know what Orange juice & lemonade was. Won’t be back
Travelling for business, this was booked for convenience as we had a conference at the hotel the next day. The hotel is conveniently located by Westminster. Easy to walk to and in and around plenty of places to eat. From the outside, looks spectacular. Reception isn’t as well manned as it can be given it isn’t that big of a hotel, but none the less when staff were manning the desk they were incredibly polite and well informed and nice to talk to. I requested for an iron and it was seen to immediately. The receptionist also got the concierge to give me a hand with my luggage which was helpful as it was windy and rainy. Nice touch. Bar was nice and clean. Not as busy - maybe because I went at the beginning of the week. I had apartment 1, well equipped kitchen. Spacious underground room with a queen bed and a very spacious sofa. Bathroom was the only off side for me. Although well equipped (bar toothbrush!) there was a constant water noise (possibly from all the accommodation above me) which I could here. Towels nice and fluffy and clean and bathroom generally very clean but a little dated. Bed was beautifully made. Sheets didn’t smell as fresh as I am used to but was very comfortable - I woke up in the spot I slept in. There was a little light and noise pollution overnight which woke me up a couple of times but nothing an eye mask and ear plugs wouldn’t mask (not that I had any, lol). My company paid around £120 which was decent given how spacious it was. Ordinarily for business esp in London you barely get any space but here it was just like home; big, airy, clean with a dated bathroom! Would highly recommend it! Given the price. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to have breakfast. However the coffee facilities the best day weren’t the best. So I’m hoping that the hotel breakfast is as good as the accommodation and isn’t reflected by its poor standard of coffee! A thumbs up from me!…
Great Place to stay. Quiet and out the way and ten minutes walk from Victoria station. Very clean and the staff are very helpful. The room has everything you would need and more and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Didn't have breakfast so I can't comment. Would definitely stay again.
