Great location, hotel recently refurbished and renamed. Staff helpful, room small but well appointed modern and clean. Location was quiet and easy walking from Paddington rail and underground stations. Lancaster Gate underground also nearby. Breakfast available at the hotel around the corner and very nice. Breakfast at local Italian restaurant should be avoided better deal was at the hotel. Hotel bedding was awesomely comfortable and we slept really well.
It has been a very frustrating event of affairs. Hotel NOT contactable. After free cancellation period ended and on the day of arrival, the hotel then contacts me to inform me of change of hotel. Then they messages me to inform me on another change! Ridiculous. Called to enquire, no one picks up. Absolute shambles. No compensation at all. The MONTCALM GROUP have failed and given extremely poor service. I would not recommend and would advise you to go elsewhere.
We booked this hotel via their own website as it appears the hotel has reopened following Covid. As soon as you book you are told the hotel is closed and you've been moved to The Chilworth nearby, part of a different group! We called The Chilworth to ask what was going on and why the other hotel who it turns out is part of a sister group are misleading bookers and the gentleman hung up on us mid sentence! Needless to say, we will cancel and stay in reputable hotel that is 'tricking' people into making bookings. Just be honest and open, its the best policy!
We have a room booked for early April which was a planned stop over on our way from the US to South Africa. With the Covid 19 outbreak our Safari was cancelled as was our ability to travel fro the US to the U.K. We requested a room credit on this reservation which we would like use next April when we hope to go on said Safari but they will only issue a credit for 6 months AND we have to book it in the next 7 days. And given the terrible customer service response, I’m absolutely sure we will never book here again.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Friendly greeting on arrival, coffee in the lounge while we waited for our room. As it had been our Golden Wedding recently we were given an upgrade to the room. The room was decorated and proscesco on chill to help with our celebration. The staff were all very friendly and helpful all the time, nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable bed Thank you everyone
