Location: + The hotel is well located, very close to Gloucester Road Station, Natural History Museum and 10 minutes away from Hyde Park. +There are many nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Cleanliness: + The room and the hotel was clean overall. Rooms: Stayed in a Deluxe Double Room (Room 590) - Avoid Room 590! The room was dark and small.... More

Stayed here on business a few times over the past two months. A great family run hotel with a friendly welcome on arrival. Varied rooms from single bed to family rooms. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Fresh towels every day. Continental breakfast was included in the price and full cooked breakfast was available. Attached to the hotel is an... More

My teenage daughter and I stayed for four nights. I would definitely stay there again. Pros: Can't beat the location, only a half block to the tube station and so convenient to everywhere. Also all kinds of food and grocery stores nearby. Staff was very helpful and attentive. There was a s small fridge in the room, which is really... More

The best part of this hotel is the location, which bumps up my rating. The Gloucester tube station is so convenient to/from the airport and everywhere in town. Lots of good restaurants nearby - fish and chips and breakfast was good at Garfunkel's, and an Italian place in the arcade. Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and museums are all a short... More

For our 10 year wedding anniversary we decided to celebrate it in London. We have never travelled to England before and for me it was my first time over seas. I didn't know what to expect when it came to hotels, rooms, food, activities so I was very critical. BUT that all changed the moment we got to the hotel.... More

This is our London Hotel as we would not dream of staying anywhere else. The friendliness and helpfulness of all staff is to be commended. They all go out of their way to ensure your stay perfect. Breakfast is fabulous offering buffet and cooked options. The "Light of India" restaurant, offering fine Indian cuisine, is of the highest quality and... More

Great hotel for location to Royal Albert Hall. Nice breakfast (costs extra for full English). Room was tiny, very cramped. Bed was ok, suitable enough to sleep in for two nights. Shared shower room, which was small and you can see in from other rooms opposite. There were used towels on the floor and it wasn't cleaned up after the... More

Reception staff were very nice. A simple basic room on the ground floor which was clean. A bit noisy at times since our window opened up onto the inner courtyard to the atttached restaurant I believe. A minute walk to the tube stop. The only downside was our included breakfast .... mediocre. Muesli good. Breads not so much. Switched to... More

Very happy with this suggestion from our travel Agency. Well situated close to Hyde Park. Cosy and clean rooms. Many restaurant close by and an excellent indian one "light India" where the service was very friendly and the food excellent. For the location and the price it is well worth it. Subway station less than 200 meters. Bus stations on... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
