What a great place! The location is ideal, close to tube, pub, food shop and coffee shop. We hoped the tube to downtown no problems. Also caught a play in West end and had dinner all on tube lines. The pictures don't do it justice,...More
Small, basic but clean room in need of updating. Our room was 100 steps from the breakfast room so great workout in the morning. Good selection continental breakfast. Excellent location close to bus stop and station.
I stayed one night at The Blades Hotel, which was an enjoyable experience. I was greeted with a warm welcome on arrival. The room was bright, clean and well equipped. The house itself is delightful, and very well run. My bed was extremely comfortable and,...More
excellent location in Pimlico; it was a vary warm night and quite a bit of traffic in the street - choice between window open=too loud and closed=too warm; we had to leave early and were supplied with a huge breakfast tray - wonderful!

I stayed at The Blades Hotel for one night last week. I booked it because it was cheap and close to where I was working. The hotel itself is a budget, centrally located B&B. I had pretty low expectations. Just before my business trip I...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Many thanks for your enquiry and if you wish to come by tube, the cheapest way to travel in London is using an Oyster Card which is a contactless card that you have to tap in and off of the tube and offer you better value that the day travel card. To rent an Oyster Card, you can ask at the tube station assistance at Heathrow Terminal and there is GBP5.00 deposit which you can have back when you leave along with the residual in you card. You can just charge for pay as you go to use the capping. Capping is a feature of pay as you go which allows you to make a number of journeys in a single day but limits the amount you pay for your travel. Each time you make a journey, you are charged a fare. Once the total cost of all your fares reaches a certain amount you won't have to pay for any more journeys for the rest of the day. This is called a cap and the cost is GBP8.80 for zone 1-6 (as you are at Heathrow). From Heathrow then you can take the Piccadilly Line (blue line) and change at Green Park for the Victoria Line (light blue line) and stop at Pimlico for a journey of 40-45 mins roughly.
