The staff were very friendly, room was clean and adequate, room was small but this is to be expected in a B&B in an old London townhouse!!! Breakfast was decent, enough choice for most people, we didn't have a cooked choice but there is the option and it's all freshly cooked in the basement kitchen/breakfast area. Remember this is a... We stayed 2 nights in a quad room. Convenient to Victoria Station and the tube. Breakfast was good and staff gave good restaurant suggestions. Excellent budget hotel which is exactly what we were looking for.

The room was very nice. The location was awesome. Close to the tube, trains and buses. Lots of places to eat in the neighborhood. Quiet and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this hotel to others for sure!

It was my first time in London and absolutely knew nothing about the place. My husband and I picked Blades Hotel because it's one of the very few hotels in our budget that has at least a 4 out of 5 rating. We looked at the map and it seemed close to places we wanted to see like the Buckingham... More

This review makes it obvious that these guests haven't travelled much - as they admit themselves they haven't, and know nothing about London, and they were booked for one night. You do NOT get "tubs" in low budget hotels in any room - only 5 star hotels and some 4 star hotels offer this facility which we refer to as... More

This is an excellent, outstanding hotel. Very good value for money. The hotel is very clean and well presented. We had the quad room for 3. Lots of room. Very nice neighbourhood and convenient for central London. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This is definitely a hotel I would recommend and will visit again. Thank you for a... More

Excellent location for walking to Parliament, Westminster and Buckingham Palace. Easy access to the underground. Room was dated but very nice and staff very accommodating. Breakfast and service was more than we expected. Overall a great stay in London.

We were looking for a hotel that could accommodate 5, in a great location, that was clean and affordable. The Blades Hotel met all of our expectations. The Hotel is very convenient to the Pimlico Tube stop. Which then provided easy access to all Tube lines. The walk to Victoria Station was approx. 15 minutes. There are a number of... More

What a wonderful welcome I got, as my husband is frequent visitor when on business in London. My stay as last time was just as good. I like the continental breakfast and some overseas tourists were intrigued by the crumpets on offer. Everywhere welcoming, clean and tidy. Stayed in Room 7 as last time. Opening the window made the room... More

Blades Hotel is very basic. We would equate it to a Motel 6 here at home. We were in Room 4, which faced the front of the building and had a balcony that was above the front door. Having this door was nice, as we could open it to get some fresh air. The room had no air conditioning and... More

We thank these guests for taking the time to write such a detailed review, but we feel they are not familiar at all with major city standards here in Europe. We are a small “budget hotel” and our rooms are considered generous in size for this very expensive area of Westminster here in London, where we share the same postcode... More

This is a lovely Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and our triple was actually larger than I had expected. It is small by US standards, but there was plenty of room for us to walk around and we were not in each others way. The breakfast had a nice variety and was a... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
