I stayed at the Lilac Door for my 10-day London adventure, and from beginning to fond good-bye, it was the perfect home-away-from-home. Partly because I was traveling solo, the hospitality and warmth provided by the place and especially by the innkeeper, Jane Waldegrave, meant a lot to me. My room was simply and very comfortably furnished (a fantastic bed) and...

It is not surprising that the reviews for this guest house are so good. It is accessible in that there is roadside parking. The hosts are very welcoming and efficient and the house itself is beautifully appointed. The breakfast has a wide variety of choice and there is plenty of space in the bedrooms and dining room. It is a...

The Lilac Door run by Jane Waldegrave is a sheer delight. Located near west Dulwich station (Victoria 9 minutes) it is beautifully decorated with comfortable rooms with en suites - a perfect place to stay when visiting London. The breakfasts Jane provides are superb and cater for all tastes.

Thankyou Jane for a lovely stay, you were the perfect hostess. Our stay was just perfect from the beautiful linen and toiletries to the excellent breakfast. We were only a short Uber taxi away from my son in Peckham £8 and a £20 fare to Paddington. First class B and B will definitely stay again.

Thank you Jane for a lovely stay. Beautiful first class bed and breakfast. Room was clean and well stocked with all toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Very modern en-suite. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, from the beautifully presented fruit, full english breakfast, pastries, toast and preserves. Even a delicious little pot of yogurt with blueberries. We would certainly recommend this...
