Thankyou Jane for a lovely stay, you were the perfect hostess. Our stay was just perfect from the beautiful linen and toiletries to the excellent breakfast. We were only a short Uber taxi away from my son in Peckham £8 and a £20 fare to Paddington. First class B and B will definitely stay again.

Thank you Jane for a lovely stay. Beautiful first class bed and breakfast. Room was clean and well stocked with all toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Very modern en-suite. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, from the beautifully presented fruit, full english breakfast, pastries, toast and preserves. Even a delicious little pot of yogurt with blueberries. We would certainly recommend this... More

My experience started with Jane's (the host) gracious emails as we made arrangements for a 4 night stay. The Lilac Door is welcoming from its beautiful lilac door, meeting Jane in person and being shown to a gorgeous room. The location, in West Dulwich, is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Jane's caring touch for my... More

Jane is your consummate host, always looking to improve ones experience. Staying in the wonderful Lilac Door is always a highlight for our trips to London. Transport links are easy to central London but the advantages to staying in "leafy Dulwich" are huge, its quiet, relaxing yet cosmopolitan atmosphere is THE BEST, and no detail escapes Jane's attention. Breakfast is... More

I stayed at the Lilac Room on two separate occasions in June 2016. Jane, the host, was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and the breakfast was very good. If you are in the area , I'd highly recommend The Lilac Door!

Me and my wife visited London for our very first time. We’re so happy we found this great B&B Lilac Door in West Dulwich. The place is charming and lovely, very clean and Jane took great care of us. She pointed out all important tourist attraction in London and (in addition) explained how to get there by drawing the route... More

My spouse & I were visiting London for the first time & chose to stay at Lilac Door basis the TA reviews. We had an absolutely lovely five night stay. Our double room with attached bathroom was at the top floor - cosy & very comfortable. We loved the décor of the whole house - aesthetically done in pastel shades.... More

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights at The Lilac Door and it was the most welcoming and pleasant stay imaginable. Jane Waldegrave, our hostess, is the landlady every B&B should have.If more B&Bs were of this ilk, then the family/chain hotels would be out of business. Accommodation was superb and the breakfasts! oh the breakfasts, Have stayed... More
