We stayed here for one night. The staff were very helpful and professional on check in. They directed us to our room clearly. The room and shower room were very clean. The air conditioning was very efficient - thank goodness 28 degrees in London. The hotel is very convenient for the Excel centre, Passport office and just a short cable car ride to the O2. The only complaint we would have is breakfast. The buffet area is very small so with a lot of guests it was utterly chaotic. The staff could not replenish the food quickly enough. There was only one toasting machine. We had a continental breakfast which was very good with a healthy selection. We can't comment on the cooked breakfast. Would stay again if needed to go to that area.

Check in was good. Room was the usual IBIS offer. Problem with electrics in the room (light switches crackled and lights did not come on if switch by door used). Reported to reception next morning but no apology or thanks for the report. Breakfast room more like a staff canteen. 90% of guests were builders which added to that vibe. No bar in hotel but pub adjoined. No atmosphere in the pub and little service. Not somewhere i would spend time. Overall, i do not think i will choose to stay here again. There is an upgrade/refurb going on so i will wait till the work is completed.

A fair distance from tourist London, but a popular and reliable place to stay. Easy access on the frequent Docklands railway, It is my second time here and has a significantly generous breakfast. Acceptable dinner meals are available in the Pub at reasonable prices. Nice clean rooms.

A very disappointing stay. I understand that COVID-19 means hotels are going back to basics, and I think most travellers have adjusted their expectations accordingly, but this place needs to get the basics right especially when there are much better offerings locally at much the same price.
From long waits to check in, to loud arguments between staff and guests, and a hotel room that still smelled like weed - this was definitely a poor show. They have removed phones from rooms and replaced them with a Whatsapp number you can use to contact reception. This is a lovely idea, however 48 hours later and the messages weren't even read. I had to make several trips down to reception before I found anyone there who could deal with my request (heater for room since the heating wasn't working).
Suffice to say, I did not extend my stay and instead moved to another local hotel for the following nights. A real shame as many of the Ibis Style hotels across London are still managing to offer very good service in these challenging times.

Not sure why people are complaining. We had 3 rooms on the 5th floor. All were newly refurbished it looked like. There was a bottle of water as well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities. I checked in online and was greeted by a friendly helpful man (sorry didn’t get his name). Only one of our rooms was ready but we were earlier than the 2pm check so it was great to be able to get into a room. He even called housekeeping to see if our other rooms were nearly ready. It took about 20 mins to get to Tower Bridge so not too far out and the hotel was a stones throw from the Excel stop. We thought we were on a continental breakfast basis so it was a lovely surprise to get a full English buffet too. If you would like a cheap hotel and don’t mind a bit of travel into the centre I would highly recommend

This hotel was fine until the morning. My partner and I had been to a concert at the O2 the night before so the location was really good for this hotel. Unfortunately we were woken up at 8am by a drill, which continued until we checked out. We had been placed on a corridor which had maintenance work being carried out and the workers were shouting at each other. Not really what we needed on a Saturday morning after we'd been at a concert the night before. The staff at reception did not inform us of any works in the hotel but I would have appreciated it if they told us when we checked in so we could have requested another room. I would have liked to have said something upon check out however the one receptionist on duty was busy with other customers. I have contacted the hotel but I am yet to hear back.

This hotel is just short walk from the DLR which takes only minutes into London. The reception was easy and friendly. The rooms have been recently refurbished so smart, clean and comfortable especially the beds. The shower room is lovely. Breakfast was also good plenty of choice.

Incredibly loud drilling noise waking us up at 8am. Tiny bathroom, uncomfortable beds and pillows. Staff do not care about any of your concerns, without a doubt the worst hotel experience we have ever had.
Avoid at all costs.

Booked this hotel as thought it was convenient for the o2 them was a little worried when I eventually realised it was across the river. In the end it was actually really easy via the train and tube to get to and from the o2. Hotel was clean, basic but quite nice. Would definitely stay again if that end of London. Must say was also very reasonable

I stayed there for a night last week, and all was well, although the view wasn't that great to the inner courtyard looking at the roof and airconditioning. It was dark anyway and that didn't matter. The bed, pillow and blanket was comfortable. Shower was warm, good towels - no toiletries though. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially I would like to mention the staff taking care of the breakfast buffet.

Hi! It’s really easy! 30 mins on the tube - circle or district line from Victoria to Tower Hill. Change on to the DLR line Tower gateway to customer house.
To the O2 it is Custom house to Canning Town. Change to the Jubilee line and stay on until North Greenwich!

Public transport is pretty much always cheaper unless you are looking for a really short taxi ride.
Use the TFL website to plan a journey, you can edit your preferences by fastest, least changes, least walking, etc.
There are more places to choose from in the London area.
