I have used this hotel before (4 times) . It is so convenient for king cross underground and st pancreas for the Eurostar. We often visit Disneyland Paris and th Eurostar station is just a five minute walk away, as is kings cross underground. The hotel has always been clean. The rooms are very basic but are always tidy and...

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel the last was about three years ago. Choose this hotel because of price and location as we were travelling for a weekend trip via train from Newcastle. Let's start with the positives. All staff we met were very friendly and courteous. Bedroom was basic but clean and bed was comfortable....

The hotel has most of what you want, ok rooms, bar, restaurant. The bed was clean which is utmost important but the room was tired and tatty. The cost was cheap and so I suppose I cannot complain. The reception was efficient. The lifts were very tatty and gave the impression of a seedy hotel.

This has to be the worst hotel I have had the displeasure of staying at. It's an embarrassment for foreigners staying in London and thinking that this represents our standard of hotels. The reception looks ok, but once you enter through the key operated door then beware.... it's like entering a prison, 4 lifts with sticky, tacky buttons, paint peeling...

Stayed here for one night before getting our Eurostar to Disneyland. It's really convenient for St. Pancras station, only about a ten minute walk. Room was very reasonably priced (we stayed on a Sunday night) room was clean and comfortable. I would say the beds were slightly high and slightly narrow but for one night not too much of a...

I begin by acknowledging that this was the cheapest hotel on the list I had and so I was not expecting anything grand! Check-in was fine but with very little conversation. My room, on the 4th floor, was clean and compact. Tea/coffee facilities, tv and a fan - but no hairdryer. The hallway leading to the room was not pleasant,...

Booked purely on the basis of location and price, and so can't have any complaints. Only a 2min walk from Kings Cross Station and paying less than £50 a night in central London, it does what it says on the tin. Yes, the building is dated, the rooms pretty soulless and the whole experience of staying there fairly underwhelming. But...

Close to Kings Cross / St Pancras a few minutes walk away. We stayed New Year's Day due to an early start for the Eurostar. I think they must of had quite a few staff off with hangovers, very short of staff, long queue to check in and unable to provide food from the main menu! Saying that the obviously...

lovely hotel, friendly staff, although when I arrived there was a short delay in getting to check in, although that not really a fault of the hotel, you cant anticipate how many people are going to show up in one go. I were needing the toilet though and could not get in to use one without a room card, Perhaps...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
