I saw the photos and thought it looked lovely, as I really wanted to spend less money this time. It was horrible, horrible. The toilet didn't work, the sink was stuck, there was no cold water as the hane was stuck, it was dirty everywhere, they demanded two nights pay in advance, and an additional 5 pounds for a horrible breakfast.

Our first stay in London was to be the Regency Court Hotel in Earls Court. What a disaster! Budget accommodation is certainly the description I would give for this accommodation. Upon arrival, we were requested to pay cash for the accommodation we had booked when in fact, the funds had already been taken from the Visa card provided. The accommodation was definitely not up to standard and accordingly we left the premises immediately. We offered to pay the cancellation fee (one night), but it was refused. On continuing the holiday it was noticed that further funds had been taken out of the account - funds that are still to be recovered. Beware of staying at this accommodation place - definitely not somewhere I would recommend.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, if you even have the decency to call it a hotel. I don't think I honestly have one single good thing to say about this place. I'm certain you can find a bench in a park with better facilities and comfort than this.

Firstly when I arrived and needed to drop of my things pretty fast there was no one there and there was a note in the door saying "back soon". Front door was locked so I couldn't even go in.They promote themself with free wifi - well that is a complete joke. If you're lucky you can find one bar of signal on the first floor. If I had to go on the internet I sat out in the staircase. My advice is, if you for some reason choose to stay here, that you can catch the reception of the next door hotel's wifi.

Secondly the room is really dirty, the walls are disgusting and there is quite a smell all over the place. The staff is arguing with each other all the time, really loud and sometimes you find them sitting on the front steps smoking instead of taking care of customers at the reception. Moreover I was asked for a 20 pound deposit to get a freaking remote for the TV. I refused as I was not really sure if I would see those 20 quid again. I paid around 140 pounds for 2 nights and this is the dumbest decision in my life.

I even found one of the staff negotiating with the customers for the price of the stay, which is the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed.

You can get chain hotels at the same price like Ibis fx. I have no idea why I ended up here and I should have checked the reviews here first. So for your own sake, don't ever ever book here - you get zero comfort, zero facilities, zero service.

I could go on and on about this, but all in all, just stay far away from this place, it's nothing like the description or pictures at all!

I have read some positive comments on this place that come up on top on this website they are written by a connected party or someone on drugs, the lower down comments are correct, it's an absolute dive. I dont know how it can be classified as a hotel, don't be misled by the grand name.

I recently stayed there myself. This place is a total scam, I cant believe anyone could post a positive review of this establishment. It was filthy, the toilet was broken and the shower didnt work. I had to pay in advance and couldnt get my money back, I left anyways.

after staying in this hotel from 21st to 25th of october i have to subscribe to the view of the other reviewers - a terrible hotel - NEVER AGAIN we knew that it was a budget accomodation, so we accepted lot of things: very small and dirty rooms, thin walls, toilet was working sometimes, bathroom less than 1m2, breakfast was very poor

the last night we stayed there water was coming through the roof and this was too much
when we complained they told us to be quiet - otherwise they will call the police!

We've just come back from the Regency Court hotel and our experience was as bad as rebel06!

We had to pay upfront with a credit card on arrival before we could see the room. It was late, we had little choice - what a mistake at 80 pounds a night!

The toilet handle came off in my hand. the shower door fell on my wife. The shower head had not been installed. The bed consisted of a "matress" with 2 springs in it and the pillows were actually used packing material in pillow cases!

We had to leave after one night. When we went to check out, we requested a refund for the additional two nights we would not be staying. The response was basically "no refund possible" we insisted and the manager ordered us to leave the hotel.

We were insisting on a refund to pay for alternate accomodation elsewhere and she accused us of causing a disturbance and threatened to call the police which we encouraged her to do.

The situation was rather tense. The police eventually arrived and took stock of the situation and examined our room. They pointed out to the manager that the room was in violation of building codes and agreed that the manager should refund the balance of our bill -- she still refused claiming that it was not technically possible and that she'd offered us another room and we refused it.

We had no choice but to leave this hotel without any refund. This hotel is completely innapropriate and we feel that we have been robbed by its staff. We couldnt sleep, we couldnt wash, we couldnt go to the toilet, and the staff was abusive and threatening. All for 80 pounds a night!

We stayed six days in this hotel. We had a double room including a own bath. The water of the shower never became hot. After complaining, me was told to use the common shower where the water after five minutes became hot. The basin was so small that it was difficult to wash your hands.
The staff was every time kind. It was at the start unusually for us to leave the key of the room at the reception. We had to ring if we came back from shopping or going out. But there was never a problem to get in.
Finally, it was a cheap hotel (40 per person/night) and very nearby to the subway and further connections. Around the corner you find every store you need. So if you are looking for a cheap hotel only to for sleeping and less requirements these hotel would be suitable for you.

So called single beds are only 2ft 6" wide, not even standard singles which are 3ft. Lumpy poor quality mattresses. All sheets, blankets, duvet covers worn out, stained with holes in them. Carpets and curtains worn out and dirty. All furniture very old and falling apart. Window single glased noisey with drafts blowing through. You get 1 small towel. Over all a total disgrace!

'Booked the hotel via their online system, with £150 deposit, a few weeks later my card is used fraudulently. On arrival I over pay the balance in cash (as I was tired) the manager knew this (he later admitted) but still gladly took the money!. Next day I realised this and so got a 1/2 refund on the overpay (i.e. I was STILL out of pocket), he then said my original deposit didn\'t go through so INSISTED I paid yet again.
Rooms are also tiny, with thin walls (people in rooms next shouting till 3am isn\'t fun)
The hotel would also fail health and safety with dangerous routes, no smoke detectors or fire escape routes to talk about.
If there is an emergency in the hotel trust me you will burn to death.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, NO MATTER IF ITS CHEAPER

Additionally today the manager charged me £50 (illegally to my credit card (i.e. fraud)) for a broken soap dish (that wasn't caused by us, but by the badly fitted mirror failing onto it).

I would rather sleep in the gutter than stay with this hotel again.
