I didn't even get to see this place and judging other reviews am glad I didn't. They weeks to process my payment by which time I'd acquired a new bank card, so my payment (booked on the old card) was declined. They emailed me a week before my stay to say that my booking was cancelled, no explanations, no prior communications, nothing. Looks like I had a lucky escape!

Please keep clear of this hideous hotel. I was booked in last Friday night and after I saw the room I had to leave. It was dirty, the size of a box and roasting hot. I asked for the manager and was told there wasn’t one !! I asked for a fan for the bedroom and was told NO. I asked for a refund and was told that I had to get in contact with the company I booked it with. This was a lie. So after being lied to, and not welcomed at all, customer service non existent I left,£66 out of pocket. Do NOT book here.

Lady at reception disgusting and mean. Old fashioned rooms. Main door keys not available. Need to ring every time for someone to open the door. I was forced to pay 20 pounds to allow another person to stay for a few hours after a rude discussion with the owner I guess.

We walked to the hotel from Hyde Park, phoned on route to say what time we were coming. Arrived at 11pm, we were greeted by a friendly chap, keys ready and directed to our room. It went down hill from there. We paid £90 for a saturday night which is pretty good for London but not for the state of the room. The smell in the room was disgusting! The lampshade was broken, there were magazine covers stuffed into the glass above the door to block out the light we presume! Carpet was minging! The shower just dribbled water out so pretty useless! But, after scrutinising the bed before getting into it we got to admit.. it was clean! And the hotel was quiet so we weren't disturbed throughout the night at all. We have both stayed in some pretty disgusting hotels around the world, some very similar to this but none have charged £90 a night! If the price reflected the state of the hotel then it could be said... you get what you pay for! but, having stayed in much much fancier hotels for the same price in London, we felt pretty ripped off here! I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you can get it for £20 a night! Then you're laughing!

What type of hotel takes keys off guests when leaving the hotel for a few hours??? The door is always locked and you must buzz in and out to come and go from the so called hotel. The rooms are dusty and we were accompanied by a few rat bate stations. The bathroom was disgusting with no hot water tap working, half used shampoo, no soap and a shower that could not heat up. There was one window in the room which was eaten away with rot which left a draft in all the time. Bed sheets were dirty and there were holes in the wall. There was a big sign in the door saying no vacancies which was amazing as we did not see any other guest in the hotel which was alarming. The staff were the best part of the hotel which doesn't say much as they were not helpful at all. This is the worst hotel in the world and do not book here. I have never done reviews but I felt it was my duty to warn people of this fraudulent kip.

Response from regencycourt, Manager at Regency Court Hotel
Responded Jun 2, 2017
Dear Guest, your comments and concerns would have been answered by me if you had the courtesy to ask. I was the duty manager at Regency Court. Hotel during your stay and am disappointed that you did not talk to me or staff about your concerns. Kindly note there were other guests staying and most were guests who stay annually and appreciate the quiet calm atmosphere in a busy West London Location. Keys are kept at hotel and locked front door for guest security . There is always ample hot water in showers and unfortunately you did not know how to operate heating controls on the shower handle. Always clean bedding is provided. Wishing you a pleasant stay in your next hotel. Kind regards The Manager.
