I had a wonderful experience here. I arrived very late at night from Paris, and the staff was waiting and ready to help me get to my room and to get settled. The next morning, they provided me with suggestions for activities and restaurants and helped me get used to public transportation.

My first stay here - very friendly staff and easy check in. The room was a decent size, but the desk a bit small. The hotel has lots of stairs, and the lift doesn't go to all floors. Breakfast is fine, but a bit limited choice. Great location for the museums.

Have used this hotel on a number of occasions and frankly it always meets the needs. Staff continue to make it run well and rooms are always up to date. Weekend or work its a middle London sanctuary enjoy.

A new hotel experience for us in Queens Gate, having previously stayed at the Kensington Gore and the Doubletree. At 54 Boutique Hotel we opted for a deluxe room with a nice terrace out back for two nights. Check-in was simple and the room itself was a good size, with a nice high ceiling, very good quality bed and bedding,... More

I was looking for a simple, single room for a four-day solo visit to London, and the 54 Boutique Hotel fit my needs perfectly. The room was snug but clean and quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the proximity to the museums and underground stations made this a convenient base from which to explore London. I payed a... More

From the outside, you're living the dream of the beautiful house in Queensgate with the traditional porch and the posh cars parked outside... inside, it's like being back in College in Cambridge or Oxford with the meandering corridors and wooden creaky floors. Cute hotel, decent size rooms for London, clean and convenient. There is a lift but generally I would... More

Four nights in London with my son, part of a quick two week European getaway. The Boutique 54 was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was snug but spacious by London hotel standards. The thing that made this place a cut above the rest was the amazing location, close to the fabulous Victoria... More

We all know it isn't easy, or next to impossible, to find good accomodation in London at reasonable prices. 54 Boutique Hotel is a rare find, and I am actually reluctant to recommend it here because I want to keep it for myself :)) Seriously, it is a very welcoming, clean and stylish place with the friendliest staff you could... We stay in 54 Boutique Hotel for 3 nights and it was a excellent experience, the room is clean and quiet, the team was helpful. It is the best hotel if you want to be close to Albert Hall, the Science and History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum...

We chose this hotel from the pictures on the website. The reality was very different. It was charmless and the staff were offhand. Room was on 4th floor and lift only went up to second. 3rd and 4th staircases were very steep and narrow. Room was grey and brown and small. Only food available were pizzas. Breakfast was a brief... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
