Stayed for one night in June 2011 in a single room. As many other people have mentioned, the room was tiny. The bathroom was very small too. Very clean and well made up. Comfortable bed. Room had everything in it that I needed, despite its size. Great location in Bayswater, not far from the tube, nice restaurants etc nearby. Relatively... More

I think we've just found our hotel in London that we would come back to time and again for city trips. Not a luxury stay (ie no real amenities) but a fantastic find and all we needed for a couple of days at Wimbledon! Cheap (relative to others during Wimbleon week!), fantastic location (10 minutes to Paddington, 2 minutes to... More

This hotel's greatest asset is its great location. It is very close to Bayswater Tube and there are lots of shops and restaurants just around the corner. Price is very reasonable for location but the room was very small. For longer stays would find it a little too cosy. Chose room with view over garden which was very nice. Staff... More

Stayed here for one night on 2nd July 2011 and have absolutely nothing to complain about! Only paid £100 for the night in a twin room. The hotel is on a really quiet street, so there is no noise, but is within a five minute walk of Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. The room wasn't as small as described in... More

This is a great hotel in an excellent location and is very good value for money. The rooms are small but they're clean and modern and the staff are very helpful. The hotel is in a great location and is within 5 minutes walk from the Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. I would definitely stay here again.

I called Visa in regards to the 3% fee that London House Hotel charges if you use a credit card to pay your bill. This is not allowed by Visa. Visa told me to go to the bank that issued my credit card and make a complaint and request a refund of the fee. I will be doing that immediatly.... More

The London House Hotel was very much worth the money spent. The staff was polite and efficient, we were even greeted by the housekeeping staff in the morning. The hotel seemed newly renovated, bright and clean. Keep in mind that the rooms are tiny. It wasn´t exactly "a room with a view" but who really cares..the window was big enough... More

The London House is well located in Bayswater 2 minute walk from restaurants and the underground. The rooms were on the small side, but comfortable. Check in was easy, but check out is at 10:30am-a bit early. The staff were moderately helpful. Many people at the desk, but did not receive a requested wake up call, so beware. Given the... More

I´ve been here with a group of students in April. I loved a lot to be here. It was a very quiet neigbourhood being at the same time near to the underground. Rooms are little but nice. Breakfast is good. Not excellent but it has all the necessary things in a continental breakfast. The only thing I didn´t like was... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
