I was in the middle of the shower and the water would just totally shut off. It happened during 3 of the 4 mornings. The first time, with shampoo still in my hair, I called the front desk. I was told by the receptionist that...More

Stayed for one night so we could be in London early, so wanted a basic and resonably priced hotel with no frills. I would agree with other reviewers that this hotel is well presented - clean, friendly staff, and perfectly adequate rooms. The room was...More

Superb Location. Rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Beds are good but had feather pillows and duvets so not good for asthma/ allergy sufferers. 3 friends in a basement family room (2 double beds) which was quite spacious enough, although the addition of hooks...More
My stay at the London House from May 7th till May 10th was excellent. The room, though small, was very clean. The front door staff were very helpful and the hotel was located near the center of London. Overall a very happy experience.

As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an
experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Not sure this will help and unfortunately I don't have a pic but I stayed on the same level as the lobby. I believe there was a basement level below us. The "small corridor" outside our window was literally the roof of the basement and beyond that were some trees and another building. It was not unpleasant at all. I opened the window a couple of evenings for the breeze. I did not find it to be hospital-like either.
