This place has 2 things going for it: the elevator and the AC. That’s really it. I should have known something was up when they put us in the standard disability access room, which was NOT what I booked, and then refused to change the room to what I actually booked (a Queen superior room), because “they were full tonight.” So they bumped my reservation to probably make room for someone else who’s paying an even more exorbitant and ridiculous rate. It was a complete downgrade to what they call a standard room because they overbooked and decided to play around with people’s reservations. Dingy walls, scuffed and stained furniture/carpet, paint peeling, MOLD IN THE VENTILATION FAN, someone else’s hair still stuck to the bath towels, broken hangers in the closet, torn bed skirts, no promised kitchenette— all we had was a kettle and some tea bags. No fridge, no microwave, which was WHY we booked here in the first place. I thought an international chain would have quality control but not here, apparently! Good thing I brought my own disinfecting wipes. I’ve been downstairs multiple times to complain about things that the staff are taking to calling our room to save me the trip, and I have been so frustrated that I’m taking to TripAdvisor to vent already on the first of four nights here. What a nightmare. The staff are nice enough but have no idea how to fix anything other than “we’ll see what we can do tomorrow.” And to top it all off, no in-room wifi. Who knows when IT will be around to fix it. I’m taking great pleasure in writing this from their hotel lobby. Go spend your money anywhere else but here. Awful.

This hotel is in a lovely location overlooking Lincoln's Inn Field, lovely outdoor terrace and Holborn Tube station just round the corner. Covent Garden is walkable. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We were advised at check-in that rooms would only be cleaned every three days and we were okay with that. What makes this hotel outstanding is the level of service especially Gina on reception. We don't normally need to have any interaction with reception but we had a small problem with our first room. Gina dealt went above and beyond to ensure that the problem was dealt with straight away and that we were happy. The first room was lovely and very private and we were equally impressed with the room we were moved to. After returning home I thought that I may have left items in the room and again Gina responded straight away. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Our room was average, not as nice as I would have thought for the price we paid of £225 for 1 night on a Saturday. Upon looking around the room we found somebody’s old food packets and receipts in a drawer We complained and were moved straight away but only while telling us that we were lucky they could move us as they have a lot of people staying New room was visibly smaller but we excepted as needed to get ready We aired our views that the room felt like a downgrade and were reassured that it wasn’t a downgrade (we agreed to disagree) While making a coffee in the lobby the staff thought we had already gone out and proceeded to talk about us and how we were moaning and one of the staff members said “well they should just move back to the room then if they are not happy” Much to their shock my partner stated that actually we complained because the room was dirty and not cleaned sufficiently A lot of apologies were made (so unprofessional though) and we continued our day The bed was comfortable and we slept well Breakfast was extremely poor One poor staff member all on his own to clear tables, seat people and serve We were offered scrambled egg and excepted as this was the only hot food on offer apart from toast We accepted and waited, one plate of scrambled egg with toast was brought over and the poor guy said I’m so sorry but I can’t make anymore as we have run out of eggs and we didn’t get our delivery (there’s literally a sainsburys a 2 min walk away) again we just said ok as I felt it unfair to take it out on this one poor guy who was trying to keep breakfast running SINGLE-HANDEDLY anyway overall it was a disappointing stay for the price we paid for a so called 4star hotel Much better out there for the same price and I wish we had shopped around We would not stay here again

Best staff in a London hotel that I’ve ever encountered! Nothing was too much trouble. Great room, quiet and clean. Definitely will return. Nice that we stayed here many years ago when the children were young and it is still as good and looks so new.

This place is more like a hostel than a 4 star hotel. They don't clean your room. If you ask, they'll come in once. But they didn't even provide clean glasses or restock coffee or towels. The sheets had a weird gray stain and they didn't change them. Even a 2 star hotel restocks things and will change sheets. The walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors. There's a closet down the hall where they are supposed to have extra toiletries. They don't have irons in the room. I asked the front desk and was told to check that closet. The closet on my floor had ironing boards, but no iron. I had to go to 3 different floors to find one. They didn't bother restocking coffee or wash cloths on my floor the last 2 days I was there. I thought the worst part of my stay was when, after 2 days, I received a call that it was past check out time and I needed to get my stuff out of there. When I said I booked 5 days and paid in advance, the woman was really snarky and just kept saying "No, no." I think I would know if I had paid for 2 nights vs 5 nights. But the very worst was when I was going to check out. The guy asked how my stay was. I told him, and at first he seemed sympathetic. He offered to print my receipt since I had breakfast (I wanted to review to make sure there weren’t any extra charges). I was waiting for him to print and called my Uber. Another customer came down, and the guy helped him before giving me my receipt. My Uber arrived and I asked him if he was able to print my receipt. He ignored me. He printed a receipt and gave it to the other customer. The customer left, and when I asked again about the receipt because my Uber was waiting, he said I was being silly! That is so unprofessional and I’m still in shock. He should’ve told the other customer, “Just a minute, sir, I’m printing out this receipt for her.” But I don’t know if it’s because I’m a woman, or POC, or he just thought I wasn’t important enough and he should help this man first. When I called him out for saying I was silly, he said “What?” Like he couldn’t comprehend that it’s unacceptable to call a customer silly. He should NOT be in customer service. I should’ve paid attention to the bad reviews. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. Just an awful experience.

There are several factors for recommending this place -- drinking water stations in the halls, very comfortable beds, a terrific location. HOWEVER, if you're planning a trip this summer, monitor your room AC carefully, especially as London faces dangerous heat. They "fixed" our AC twice -- but they didn't. I really had to push to get a room transfer.

I’m hesitant to be fully honest, because then there won’t be space for me when I need it! 😊 Club Quarters Holborn exceeded all expectations. It is perfectly situated - especially if you have a student at LSE - the staff was attentive, helpful, went above and beyond, multiple times during our stay (thank you!) Rooms are clean, nice furnishings, great dining table/work space with lots of electronic ports for charging, bathrooms are great, tea/coffee/water station in the lobby was great. Beds are VERY comfy. Lovely front outdoor courtyard (drinks are served there, if you wish) is the perfect place to unwind or bring in a meal and sit and chat. Right across the street from a huge beautiful park that also has a cafe. Right around the corner from a major road with shops/restaurants/Holborn train station. Good healthy food on campus, which is a half block away. About a 10 min walk to the bustling Covent Garden. Superb stay - reasonable price - it feels like a very high end hotel, without the extra fancy stuff, that we never use, don’t need, and don’t want to pay for. It has everything you need to feel pampered. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Stayed here to see a concert at Somerset House which is within walking distance. Had a great stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Jerome was very welcoming when we arrived. We were able to get a room for three adults which was great as this can be a challenge - Paying for two rooms is both expensive and means my husband and I have to split up to support our disabled daughter. The hotel room was spacious and very clean with the exception of the bed valance which had a huge coffee stain on it - fortunately the rest of the bedding was clean and fresh. One of the bedside tables in our room is falling off and slopes down so you can’t put anything on it. The Kitchenette wasn’t well stocked, there are plates, mugs and a few pieces of cutlery but no pans for the hob (perhaps intentionally as I can’t imagine cooking in there). The microwave and fridge were clean. The public areas were very clean; the air freshener in the lobby was quite overpowering if you have allergies (as I do). Love the refillable water bottle stations on every floor and in the lobby. The terrace at the front is really nice and there’s a nice park across the street. If you are disabled there is disabled on street parking around the corner on Sardinia street with no time restrictions (2 spaces). Would definitely stay again, the price this time was higher than I would normally spend on a hotel, but was still competitively priced for the location and hotel standard/amenities.

The hotel is located perfectly close to all the touristy areas. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Just that the price they charged was too much for such small rooms. Don’t take the corner room, they are odd shaped, with standard furniture which does not really fit well.

First time at this hotel & won't be the last. In fact have already booked to back in September with some girl friends. Rooms aren't the largest we've stayed in but spotlessly clean & everything that we would need in it. So close to Holborn Station, bus stops. Restraunts, supermarket etc. Was a really quiet area. Travelled with my husband & stayed in a club queen room. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.
