Recently stayed for four nights, shared a twin room with my mom. The room was very small, not much room for luggage, so found under the bed a good place to shove bags. We were not in room much, so worked out fine for us. Bathroom small, but shower worked great after a long day of sight seeing! We specifically... More

Great friendly staff when we checked in,really lovely polish lady(sorry never got your name!) Room small but comfortable. Quiet at night. Was ideal location for me as i attended Hyde park for summer festival but wouldn't stay here if I was staying for tourist things, not really central enough. Breakfast was continental, was ok nothing spectacular.

We stayed here for 2 nights and that was plenty. The room was tiny with no room for suitcases. It was close to Earl's Court and train stations which was good. The TV reception was terrible and we had to complain about the noise at 1am caused by people walking in the floorboards of the room above us. The staff... More

Westbury Hotel We arrive at the Westbury Hotel to find that our room for 3 was very very small. That wasn't a problem as we knew it was in an old terrace building. The mattresses had no protective covers, and no top sheet, only a doona. When we pulled back the doona cover the doona itself was had massive brown... More

Staff helpful &friendly (esp Catherine). Room was clean but Very cramped & LOTS of noise from floorboards of room above. I actually had to complain at reception at midnight. ... noise did then stop! Phone not working in our room. Although included we didn't stay for breakfast, looked basic.Location is good, 8mins walk to Earls Court area & train station, also... More

The room was very clean but TINY. The walls and floors are thin, hence a noisy night of people walking around above us. The breakfast area is very crowded and inconveniently laid out. For fruit, only canned is offered, for toast only white bread. No yogurt and the coffee comes out of a machine that does everything else. Supposedly free... More

Midway from Regent Street and Selfridges, it's the best if yo like to wander in the centre of London. You can walk to Soho and Carnaby and be back in no time. My room was a bit tiny (I expect bigger) and bed a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was fine. Lovely breakfast. Personnel polite.

Just the worst bed ever... There were Himalayan lumps in the mattress and trenches in the bathroom... My husband did running jumps to land on the bed as its not possible to access the bed any other way with two walls surrounding it. The fact that their web site is half baked should have been a clue, but given that... More

We stayed 23/04/16, we had a basement room with no view except the wall of the house next door. The room was probably the smallest double we have ever stayed in with probably the smallest double bed we have ever slept in. We went for breakfast in the morning only to find seating for about 20 people and a very... More

We had a lovely 6 - night stay at this hotel in mid-April. The staff were helpful, attentive and most welcoming. The room wasn't big but it was clean and tidy. Bathroom essentials, kettle and tea, coffee and milk is a nice touch. Breakfast was quite simple: cereals, toasts, beans, boiled eggs, jam, milk, coffee, tea, cacao. The location is... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
