It was a good location, close to the District and Central Tube lines. Seems like these people haven't been to the Continental Europe - you cant call breakfast that contains boxed cereal, croissant and toast only with jam a continental breakfast and charge 9.50 for that. Because of change of plans I made two bookings that I requested to merge...

Definitely not a standard of 4 stars... One person plus a trainee at the reception, they are talking to you and doing other things at the sane time. They start asking you for something, then jump to another conversation with other guests. The worst thing is that you don't have a clean douvets. They are not cleaned after each quest....

The location is great, right next to St.Paul's: I enjoyed hearing the chimes all the time. The underground station is 4 min walk. The rooms are very clean and nice. The staff is helpful and very friendly. All my questions and inquiries were attended immediately.

This hotel is located next to St Paul's Cathedral and very close to City Thameslink station so getting here from Luton and Gatwick is very easy. I stayed ina corner room and the room was spacious with compliementary cofee and tea and free bottled water located by the elevator on every floor. There was a USB charger in located next...

The room is very dated, feels old and smells old too. The shower drain was blocked, so I wash washing in 6 inches of my own filth. Returned from a night out to an extremely warm room. We thought it was December in London not June in Spain. We reported the issue and had no response for 25 mins. The...

I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. The hotel is located very close to St Paul's Cathedral, and just around the corner from the First Dates restaurant. The beds are very comfortable, shower is good and rooms well decorated. The breakfast is reasonably priced and delicious. You have a choice of continental or a full English. All staff...

It is the second time I am staying here. I was very pleased the first time - great location good room - this why I came a second time. I totally regret it. There is not going to be a third stay for sure. The room is towards the street. The windows are so poor that it sounds like sleeping...

Location wise great hotel, we came from Gatwick Airport. Train station City Thameslink about 100m away. Lots of dining options closeby. Staff friendly on arrival, speedy check in. Room was a decent size. Free bottled water on every floor. Only issue we had was the shower. Water flowed out all across the bathroom floor everytime we had a shower. We...

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
