Nothing exceptional, slightly rude staff upon check in. I was asked for an early check in and was treated like I asked for a free room. The room itself was very drab and dated. Convenient location though and some nice restaurants in the area.

Had a lovely 3 night stay here with my two children. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to St. Pauls cathedral and the Millenium bridge. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with lots of choice. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept...

Amazing location but old and dated hotel. Staff were unhelpful. Broken appliances in room. Water took nearly 5 minutes to heat up. I'm glad this was a business trip and I didn't have to pay for the stay out of my own pocket!!

We spent a lovely weekend at this brilliant hotel in the heart of the city of London. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We ate in the attached restaurant and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The position of the hotel is ideal, being next to St Paul's cathedral, and...

Average is the right word. Tho hotel's location was very convenient for me And that's only thing above average. The rest was ok, but just ok. Breakfast was eatable, service was quiet helpful and quiet accessible. The building itself is cramped and it is dark inside.

The location is great, only a block away from St. Paul's Cathedral. It seems to be geared more towards business travel rather than a family trip. The place is quaint and modern with plenty of self service extra amenities: laundry mat at facility, complimentary coffee and water, toiletries, and speedy touch screen check in/out. Service was good and place was...

Really friendly staff offered us a couple of rooms when we checked in. The room we had was good. Small but well equipped, quiet and comfortable. Very pleasant place to stay, wouldnt hesitate to recommend for a weekend or business stay during the week. Nothing bad to say about it and the experience was so pleasant I cant really recommend...

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
