OK, the furniture in the rooms is old and the lighting consists of fluorescent tubes, but I really liked this hotel (and it is a real hotel rather than a hostel). I stayed one night to try it out and after leaving immediately re-booked another stay a month later. Just try to ignore what the furniture looks like and concentrate... More

This is a good price for a stay in central London and so you don't expect a massively high standard but there were still just enough little niggles that meant that I came away from my stay disgrunted. Firstly, the positives which were that they let me check in to my room early without an extra charge as the room... More

This 'hotel' should really be advertised as a hostel and most customers would be happy. We booked a twin bunk bed room which faced out onto the main road. This meant that there was some traffic noise, however for a short stay in London it was OK. The room was small and does not have en-suite facilities. The bathroom/toilets were... More

My daughter and I have visited this hotel many times, and are always impressed by the comfort and staff, and always perplexed by bad reviews from people who obviously have no idea how far your money will go in central London. The only thing I have to add to my previous review is that I would definitely advise a room... More

Don't plan on a lie in. The door banging starts early, and not all is done by the guests. You can expect the cleaners to start knocking on your door from 8am onwards, and if that fails to get you out of the room then a lady with a list in her hand may be expected to "crash" your room,... More

I stayed at this hotel last July when I went to see add Sheeran at Wembley with my bestie! It was cheap and basic.. Yes it was dated and you did have to sure a bathroom, which by the way was clean and fresh, we didn't see anyone else use them when we were there for 2 nights. The long... More

Hotel for me is all about location. Next to Euston station, i remember. And the British Museum is like five blocks away. There's the King's croos St. Pancras in 10 minutes, the station that will take you to Europe, all around the island as well. One problem, (huge problem to some of you) is that the shower and toilet is... More

I paid £37 per night in July for a double room, with a decent cooked breakfast and thick towels provided. Yes this hotel is grubby round the edges, you share shower rooms and toilets but they were OK and water was always hot, and if I was going to recommend this hotel to a friend I'd advise a room at... I booked this hotel as it was close to kings cross and minutes from euston tube. I knew it was a budget hotel when I booked it. The decor is very neglected and dated. Edges of the rooms like skirting boards and windows are poor. The bed linen was clean and beds comfortable. Telly didn't work. Although you share bathroom... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
