Treating my friend to a theatre break in london. Decided to stay again at the Conrad and it didn't let us down. Fabulous welcome, great food in the Blue Boar, the executive lounge is always good and the bedrooms are always 1st class. Concierge are also amazing and do helpful. My only disappointment was the 2nd morning breakfast. Total dissaray and buffet kept running out of food. We ended up with 3 lots off toast, 2 pancakes when we ordered 1 and tea but no cups. As said, there was at one point no eggs and no sausages on the buffet an no glasses for juices. One team member said eventually there was a kitchen power cut, but communication would have been good. As I say, overall, fantastic and real quality hotel, just disappointed that the last image was poor . I do believe you are moving to a la carte breakfast......worries me a but when they struggle with tea and toast ! Anyway, I will be back and overall ....thank you

Hotel's Favorite
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (5 nights) for the first part of our trip to London. Margarita at the front desk is incredible - she made us feel like we were the most special guests at this hotel. She has infinite patience and worked tirelessly with us to find the room we liked. As Hilton Diamond members, we were upgraded to the junior suite, which was nice. Margarita even escorted us to our room and gave us an overview of the hotel and our room. Wow, what a start! Breakfast buffet was really good, I thoroughly enjoy my omelets, fresh berries and freshly baked pastries. All servers were excellent and attentive. Executive lounge was disappointing in our view, not much choice at all. We had way, way better. (In fact, for easy comparison, Hilton Southside (where we stayed for the 2nd part of our trip) had an outstanding Executive lounge with excellent plentiful hot and cold appetizers and passion fruit juice). I hope Conrad improves food at their Executive lounge; as much as we were impressed by the food at breakfast buffet, we were totally disappointed by the quality of food at the Executive lounge. The location of the hotel is excellent - kind of in between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. It is a walking distance to so many great attractions; those attractions that are further out can easily be reached by tube - tube station is literally across from the hotel, which we found is extremely important if you are actively exploring all different parts of the city and beyond. I celebrated my birthday while staying at the hotel and they brought me a bottle of prosecco, pastries and a hand written card - very nice gesture, which I appreciated. Tip regarding English Traditional Afternoon tea (which is a must do experience in London) - do your research, choose your venues and book ahead, as some of the best ones are booked months(!) in advance. We selected and visited 5, which we determined were the best for us - at Savoy Hotel, at the Promenade of Dorchester hotel, at The Drawing Room of the Brown's Hotel, at the Lanesborough hotel and of course The Claridge. All with outstanding food and service, breathtakingly beautiful, opulent, cost tons of money, but so worth it - unforgettable memories. This was our first visit to London and will not be last. I can honestly say that London has totally exceeded our expectations and amazed us in many ways and on so many levels. Go and enjoy; we definitely did!

I have stayed at the Conrad London St. James on multiple occasions for business and also personally. The accommodation has always been very comfortable, rooms well appointed and staff super friendly and helpful. Additionally our clients visiting from overseas have been very happy with the service provided and the central location. I would highly recommend the hotel, not least for their exceptional staff.

The understated exterior of this hotel belies the high quality establishment inside. I only booked for one night (30th March) and wished I could have stayed for longer! Even before arriving, I received some welcome texts from Reception, asking if they could help in any way or if there were anything we needed. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome. Our luggage was taken by the lovely doorman and was waiting for us in our room later. We arrived around 11 am, so it was too early for our room to be ready, but we'd booked lounge access and were given a key card, so that we could go to there immediately, and relax there for a short time before heading out. The staff were clearing away breakfast but there was still food if we'd wanted to eat it. This hotel is spotless and is a really lovely place to stay. Even the toilets (in Executive Lounge and on the ground floor) are excellent. I'd booked a King Executive Room (Room 411) and it was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and there was even a volume control dial in the bathroom, so that you can still listen to the TV whilst getting ready in there. The drinks selection was good and the products in the bathroom smelled gorgeous. There was no shower cap, however. I would have liked to have a price list for the minibar. There are quite a lot of refreshments provided but it's not clear what is included and what is charged. Two bottles of water were placed next to the bed during the turn down service, which was appreciated though. We returned to the Exceutive Lounge for breakfast and found it perfectly adequate, but if you have a large appetite then you might prefer to book an official hotel breakfast. There was plenty of seating in the lounge and the staff were meticulous at replenishing. On departure day we left our luggage at the Concierge's desk, so that we could make the most of the day, before returning home. When it was time to leave, Concierge staff, along with the doorman, found us a taxi within seconds and helped us on our way. I hope to stay here when I next visit London and highly recommend the Conrad London St James. Thank you to ALL the staff.

The hotel is in a location that can’t be beat. It is right near Buckingham Palace, right across the street from the underground, and near Westminster Abbey and Parliament. It is clean, there are a lot of dining options. Everyone was friendly, and the room was fairly big for European standards. I would definitely stay here again.

Ideal location, with clean rooms, good restaurants, and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again. The lounge was a little crowded and service was slow (in terms of getting/keeping food out). This could be improved by having less restricted hours for tea and dinner appetizers (and maybe adding a light lunch offering). Therefore, I'm not sure if I would pay for the lounge access again, but aside from that, everything else was literally perfect.

Staying here was one of the nicest and most comfortable experiences we have had in a European city. Our room was clean and well appointed, the hotel staff was universally helpful, the building is lovely, and the hotel is right across the street from a tube station. It's also walkable to many places that tourists would want to visit (Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace etc.).

We are a family of 3 and we booked into a suite at the Conrad for a week in our spring break trip to London. The service of the staff was very professional, and everybody greeted with great smiles. The inroom dining menu is short but was very good and specialized; as cliché as it is the fish and chips were great. The breakfast at the Pem was really good too, although I suggest going early on weekend mornings. The cleanliness of the room was fantastic, and the access to the executive lounge was very handy as well if you wanted to swing by to unwind. I highly recommend staying there. The location is also great as Westminster kind of has the best of both worlds of being relatively close to the more commercial / shopping areas to the east but also the more museum focused areas to the west in Kensington.

Without exception one of Londons finest. From the moment 'Dave' welcomes you with his traditional attitude and attire to the truly personal service from the reception team, the home when away feel throughout is like a cuddle from an old friend. Every part of the hotel is spotlessly clean and the room itself has a feel of real premium. The location is fantastic and some rooms have a sneaky peak of Westminster Abbey. The executive lounge is always well stocked and the special service continues there too. Just wonderful. It's become the only place to stay in London for my wife and I.
