Had to pay for four rooms for two nights on separate days as the 'computer' wasn't capable of doing it on the Friday evening arrival. Poor breakfast box so it's worth going to the pub around the corner towards Cannon Street. I'm not too sure what else I can say but the rooms were hit there was a fan. We... More

I vowed never to stay in a Travelodge again after a poor experience at King's Cross. However we needed and overnight stay in London and it cost £69 for the night. We checked in with ease and the room was small but tidy. The main problem was the lack of air conditioning which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The... More

Nice room, bit warm when we first entered but it was an exceptionally hot day and a fan was provided so no trouble. Very central to sights as well as the business centre of the City of London. Staff very friendly. Clean and comfortable room, only style shower but worked fine. Only issue was the wifi, slow when both of... More

Very comfortable. Friendly and welcoming staff. London prices expensive though . Minor problems with bathroom . Good location although limited breakfast options and no restaurant or bar , but then it's a Travelodge and plenty of places near by. I will stay again .

Hotel is hidden in the heart of the Bank district in London. The area is remarkably quiet, albeit the ongoing building work next door did create a lot of noise! The staff were lovely and did explain about the noise when we checked in. We were given a room on the 2nd floor which was a good size, very clean... More

Central hotel in a quiet square off a quiet lane near the Bank tube station. Great value compared to other budget options nearby but in worse locations (for me). My room on the 4th floor was large enough and at the end of the corridor so very quiet and private. Bed comfy enough, shower fine, everything clean and reception have... More

Short business trip. The room was very warm - no A/C and having the windows open made it very noisy. Reception told me I had been given one of the better rooms, which is a worry. Size of the room was adequate, although one of the curtains partially obscured the TV. Shower room was a reasonable size, but Travelodge persist... More

I stayed here for two days for a work trip and the hotel is very well situated, near Bank underground for travel into the city quickly. Rooms were basic but comfy and ideal for a short business stay at a decent price for London.

One of the great things about Travelodge is that its safe to say you know what to expect no matter what part of the country you go. The Bank branch is what I would classify as a typical Travelodge. That's by no means a negative but don't expect any interesring suprises. I had a decent sized room, comfy bed, slightly... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
