I booked this because I had a job interview in Russels Square and it was very close. I didn't read reviews but nearly panicked when I did. Frankly I think the reviews are very unfair and seem to be expecting too much of somewhere that is what £30-40/night in central London. It has WiFi, hot showers, working toilets and a...

It is not a place to stay. The staff was rude and clueless. The heater in the room was broken and the room was freezing. I went downstairs and told the guy sitting at the reception but he ignored me at the beginning completely until I shouted at him. He was clueless and was not going to do anything about...

The positives are the location and the staff being friendly. The negatives are that it's dirty, there's no wifi in the rooms, they charge to store luggage, the beds squeak, they turn the heating off at night centrally so it's freezing when you wake up, the carpets are worn and the stairs are steep with no case help offered. They...

Stayed here for 3 nights due to work commitments. Have to say this is most defiantly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, in the world. The bed was held together by shoe laces and duck tape. Mattress was uncomfortable. The heating in room wasn't working. There was no hot water in the room. Tv on wall in room was...

The room was on a slant, the bed was just some sheets, the receptionist was rude, the shower took 10mins to heat up, the place smelt, there's no toilets in your room, the windows didn't open, the walls where paper thin. Worst hotel I've ever been to

I left the hotel after the one night stay (originally planned to stay 5 nights). After lengthy negotiations I was promised to receive the money back for the remainig 4 nights, which I never did. In fact, the receptionist at first gave me the money back in cash, but then asked me under tears to return the cash (otherwise she...

Where do I start. I was put into a room that was akin to a prison cell. There was a communal toilet (which I was not told when booking) as a woman I was frightened to go to the bathroom and feared for my safety especially in the early hours of the morning. There was raucous behaviour and banging of...

Booked this Hotel on line 2 days before arrival and then noticed my partner had already booked somewhere. I requested a cancellation which went through but no refund so money was wasted. Then I looked at the reviews and was very glad I was staying somewhere else! Somewhere there is a property owner who is using this as a cash...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
