City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night. The staff and service were excellent, especially Nancy. There was someone at the door to greet you and take your bags right away & the reception staff were exceptional. They did everything to get us an early check in and we even ended up receiving a free upgrade and complimentary drink due to our room not being ready. Spa facilities are great & the hotel is lovely too. Will definitely be coming back

I stayed one night here before a trip to Northern Ireland. The hotel is an easy walk from the tube station at Tower Hill, and the Tower of London is just a bit beyond that. There are numerous restaurants in walking distance as well. My room was on the 9th floor and had an awesome view to the south of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the Thames. Beautiful at night, I almost didn’t want to go to sleep! Great location for visiting the Tower of London, about an hours ride on the tube from Heathrow. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, they let me check in early at 1:30pm.

We were three friends staying here for a weekend. We loved the service. We called for roomservice, when we needed anything and they were most helpful. The spa and gym is really fresh and well equiped. The tube is just around the corner. We were lucky to get a really cheap price for some reason, so I will always check if they have a good offer next time we go to London.

First of all I just want to say a massive thank you to Nancy at reception and her manager Kabita who made our stay extra special. They really looked after us. I came here for a girly weekend fort birthday. We were upgraded to a suite on the 12th floor. The room decor was a little dated however the size, separate lounge area, balcony and views of the shard and tower bridge more than made up for the decor. Nancy and Kabita couldn’t do enough for us. We got breakfast and a round of complimentary house drinks thrown in. All the staff at this hotel are super nice, friendly and professional but Nancy and Kabita went the extra mile. They are an asset to this hotel group. The spa is decent with a huge swimming pool. Again a little dated but serves it purpose.they could do with putting some loungers in there. At one stage there was only me and my friends in there which was pretty cool. The hotel is in a fab location. Pretty much right by Tower Hill underground and Fenchurch overground stations. Sky gardens, Tower Bridge and the Shard are all within walking distance. There’s loads of restaurants and bars in the area. There’s a coop just round the corner. Visit the Double tree Hilton which is opposite this hotel as it has a great roof top bar with beautiful views of London. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
